Cheek of some dealers
Discussion
Just travelled from Liverpool to Oldham (during peak traffic!) to view a 53 Jaguar XJ, 83,000 on the clock in red. Overall really good condition. Listed at £5,995.
Main issues were all 4 alloys suffeed from fairly bad bubbling, so needed a refurb. Also a good size chip on the windscreen had been filled, but about 5cm away from this, there was a small crack which had not.
So taking this in to consideration, i felt i had every right to try and knock a bit off.
HOWEVER
Not only did he refuse to budge on the list price, he also said a £50 admin charge would apply, so really, it was £6,045.
Now really £50 is nothing, but the fact this was not advertised on their advert, coupled with the 2 issues, 1 of which could be serious in time to come) i walked away, and he didn't even seem bothered!.
My search continues.

I read that the S type, even facelift ones, are no good.
