The company I work for has employed the services of Ben Collins as a publicity stunt for the Offshore Europe exhibition in Aberdeen this week.
He is coming into the workshop tomorrow for a visit and a chat.
I was just going to ask him if he is on PH and what was his username.
Anybody want me to ask him anything? It has to be reasonably sensible as it will be in front of my workmates and if I start shouting custard or something they will think I have gone crackers.
I also thought about calling him Tiff at every opportunity just to piss him off.

Wheres that Jason Plato thread? biggrin

Right then just got back from the pub.
So,
What does he drive?
Does he have a classic weekend car?
What is the best track in the UK?
What are your racing plans for next season?
What car do you dream of racing at Le Mans?
What happened with the Konigsegggggggggg?

Asking about Clarkson etc will be too long winded, I'm not sure how long I will have to chat.
OXO tower etc would be quite amusing but I don't want to risk looking like a loony!

Thinforth, If I get a chance I will pop over for a chat!

I had a wee chat with him this morning but not for long.
The info I managed to squeeze out of him was...
He drives a VW Transporter minibus and as has been said a Audi "loan" S5.
I asked him if he had a weekend car but he claims that he has been spoiled after driving all these supercars,
he said "after driving lots of Lambos Ferraris etc, the are all the same".

He said his favorite car was the Ferrari 456, which seemed a bit odd to me?
I asked what he thought the best UK circuit was, he said he liked Knockhill (probably because he was in Aberdeen)
but also liked Oulton Park and Silverstone.

He said he was concentrating on this 24hr malarky so didn't give much away about future racing plans.
He commented on the Koniggsegggg crash, when he shunted it the owner was nearby.
When it struck the tyrewall one of them got stuck in the front grill, he said that they were all trying to pull it out before the owner arrived and even had a rope round it onto the ambwilans to try and pull it out.
He said Clarkson is an argumentative twunt, which we had all figured out for ourselves. biggrin

Thats about it! He seemed like a nice enough chap but IMO not very enthusiastic about driving or cars, it was a bit obvious he just wanted to do his bit and then bugger off.

Thinforth, I had full intentions of coming for a chat but unfortunatly I didn't get the chance, maybe next year.
