I find myself rather disappointed.

My personal lease on our 9-3 Saab cabrio is coming to an end in November. We love it. It was her dream car for many years and earned me a million brownie points (which I am still spending!)

One option is to buy it, just as it comes out of warranty with all it's expensive bits and pieces to go wrong and a company going down the tubes.

The other is to find something else that is stylish and interesting and take a 3 year lease.

So far, after looking at every car we see on the road, and hours on car company web sites the Alpa range is standing out as WAY ahead in terms of design.

I'm feeling particularly drawn to a Giulietta right now, but could go for a Mito for SWMBO and perhaps a nicer toy for me (thinking 996).

When did all the other car companies become so damm bland or am I missing something? And I suppose the question is....will I love an Alfa??

agreed. Followed a MiTo yesterday and it does a good impression of a bullfrog. The Guilietta is better but neither as interesting as the Saab.
I think I'll need to drive the Guilietta for a couple of days. The Saab is the latest face lift aero in black and whilst the basics haven't changed for ages it attracts way more glances and nice comments than you might expect.

And of course I simply love driving it.

I do know what you mean about the MiTo but it's different at least.

Got to say as well that the alpha web-site and car configurator is real nice and very easy to use against the others. I looked at the Pug web site, thinking about the 308cc, but that's rubbish (the site, not the car).

I simply can't bring myself to get a blandbox.

Good and interesting stuff chaps.

Interesting about the new order thing on the 159's. That may mean of course that there are some great lease deals to be had on what is a simply gorgeous looking car.

The mention of the 308cc was simply to reflect that I had loked at that with a view to another new drop top, and I think it's the best looking of it's ilk. However, I would of course have to tell people that I was driving 'her' car whenever I was out in it. I think the Saab convertible stands scrutiny against a lot of things so don't apologise for that, but I do understand that I'm not comparing apples with apples when talking about Alpas (indeed I'm not trying to).

I think the MiTo is being harshly treated in terms of it's appearance, but then I can also understand why as it's a bit eclectic. Not so sure why the Gilietta is getting some adverse comments. I thought it looked good, and a little different, but perhaps I need to revisit it. Try the Alfa car configurator and I think you can get something that looks real sharp.

Those comparison pics are a little worrying to be fair. I hadn't really noticed all that before.

On the other hand I do think the front looks pretty good.

And I do believe each one comes with a free Uma Thurman!...

Possibly.
