And this is good because??????

Nothing beyond what the local chavs in their saxo's with the handbrake on get up to every night.
GTR's being 4wd and this allows people who run drag cars to warm the rear tires before runs?

Its nice to see tuners pushing new models and developing new parts for them.

Well I know this would not be to every ones taste (im not a fan of the looks at all too) but this car is SVM's DEMO car and gets lots of attention and magazine time etc.

As for tuning an already fast car, you can never have enough power! lol... Pushing the limits with tuning makes parts cheaper and more widely available and now the GTR has been pushed to 1200+ bhp the cheaper more common 650R conversions are the norm now!

Guys I know that alot of you guys dont like the looks, Me ether but what the video shows is the progress the tuners are making with the new R35 GTR. I love seeing a new model car being tuned to a monster as a lot of newer cars cant take the tuning abuse of older iron blocked cars of the 90's. The GTR is truly a worth follow up to the R34 IMHO.

As for the wheels and tires, these are "show" wheels. The Hulk does not do 1/4 or track stuff on these big heavy things! lol..

How does a video of a crap burnout demonstrate the ability of a tuning firm?

If their car is that fantastic lets see back to back tests with a standard GTR and see whether the margin of vthe gap merits the effort. I do not believe in this particular case it does.
"Coz burnouts are da best init"

No really I see your point with the burnout but put it in to context. The firm has just been working on a new gear kit for the gear box and roll's the car out of the shop, Like most people who have just converted from 4wd to rwd there just having some fun!

Can you really think this would not be faster than a OEM GTR? The car has 200% of the OEM cars BHP and weighs less? Have you ever been in a GTR thats OEM and one with say a 650R conversion? Even at 650bhp the tuned car is ALOT quicker than standard car!

Oh and to say "worth the effort" this car is a demo vehicle so SVM use this car to develop new parts so thats not really a concern on this car.

Right, do we're saying it's only noticeable on straight line racing then? Not real world.
Is going in a straight line not done much in the real world? Lol.. I have a 500+ bhp rwd nissan and I can agree with you in some respect as my car would not be any faster in the real world eg. On the road if it had 6/700 bhp. But on the 1/4 mile the car would pull a faster time.

The gtr at 1200 is just mental. You can't use power like that so its just for pushing the limit on the engine and then using this knowledge to the apply it in track/drag cars.

Yep, but the point is if you have that power are you doing standing starts and 0-100 all the time, so why take a perfectly good GTR and devalue it by doing this?
Why take a good gtr and do this? ITS A DEMO CAR! Lol.. don't think any one would do this to there own car but its a publicity stunt to get svm noticed. It works and even if people don't like it they still talk about it.

Considering the weight of the GT-R I would be more impressed with a sub 1200kg car than a 1200bhp one. Can you imagine that?

Anyone know the lightest GT-R ?
People in the UK have shaved 100+ KG just in seats and some bisic panel swaps but this http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/articletyp... has to be one of the lightest GTRs thats not a GT1 car aka sumo powers etc.

Way back in the 90s/early 00s SVM were big on the Ford scene.

So far as I ever saw lots of figure were quoted, but very few, if any, were ever proven.

Just saying....
Yeah I know what you mean. I'm still waiting to see a dyno graph of this gtr too frown I can't see why a company would lie though because in the end if they lie about power figues its not good for there reputaion!

There are plenty of proven 1000+ bhp R35's that are similar spec to the hulk so it may be close to there stated figure?
