I'll soon be furnishing a house and as I'm a young single bloke with no taste, I firmly believe some car derived furniture would fit in perfectly.

I'm thinking sofa and chairs made from a car interior, in a similar style to the Top Gear furniture.

Obviously I want something leather, comfy and good looking. Any electric adjustment, heated seats etc will be connected up, so the fancier the better really.

If it where your house, what car interior would you use?

I had thought Volvo S80 but they look a bit dull. Jag and Alfa are good calls, Bentley would be amazing but my budget is limited! Will look at P38s too.

I'll probably steer clear of sports seats TBH. You sit quite differently in your living room to in a car- being forced to sit in a dead straight position isn't actually that comfortable without car-type stuff going on to necessitate it.

That Bentley rear bench is amazing and very tempting. It seems to be only the bigger saloons that have good square rear seats- even P38s have annoying intrusions into the sides/bases that I don't think would look right on a sofa.

Rover 75. The seats are big, squishy, often leather and piped, and are bound to be cheap/ easily available.

Very good call! Lots on ebay, cheap and in good condition.

i wouldn't bother...or if you do...don't invite anyone to your place...as you'll look like a complete tt..."hey baby, I have Top Gear style furniture...because i'm a bloody bloke, but my bed is very comfy so we might as well head straight upstairs."
EFA

I can see it working a treat!
