Saw this today on the A3.. Plate comes back on AskMID as 'Trade Plate'.

Had a Ferrari badge in the front grille.

It would appear there could be more than one.. Although I guess they won't all be painted in this scheme?

Named for the 10-day Tour de France automobile race, not the famous bicycle race of the same name, a number of 250 GT "Tour de France" Berlinettas were sold for GT races from 1956 through 1959. There was actually 84 Tour de Frances built. Construction was handled by Carrozzeria Scaglietti based on a Pinin Farina design. The engine began at 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) but rose to 260 PS (191 kW; 256 hp) by the end.

A one-off short wheelbase Tour de France was built for the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans. This car, called the 250 GT Interim, would foreshadow the 2,400 mm (94.5 in) SWB cars of 1959. The 250 GT Interim is currently owned by Lulu Wang.[3]

It was probably going to the Goodwood press day.

You can see it on the left hand side behind the Cobras in this photo from today:

Looks sort of like an AC Aceca fromt he back

Maybe a kit/replica?

edit:
- the above post looks on the nose actually. I will leave my last comment up as a badge of shame
AC Aceca is my thought also. Good spotting!
The back is different to all of the 'AC Aceca' on google, and had a Ferrari badge in the front grille.

But good call.

JohnnyFive - not THAT different!
Certainly not, very similar!

The back is different and front was more of a rounded grille rather than the Aston style on the AC.

No, they are different cars.
The car wearing race number 11 is 1321 GT, a single louvre example that currently resides in America. By this I am referring to the number of louvres in the rear sail panel.

The car in the original post, is three louvre example, likely to be chassis number 0763 GT, recently restored by DK Engineering.

Excellent, thanks for that biggrin

EDIT;

Appears it was still worth a few pennies.
