Cars with engines you never new existed
Discussion
We have recently had the cars you never knew existed thread and there are some real gems in there but recently I have seen a few posts with cars I knew about but had engines in them I didn’t expect or know about.
I will set the ball rolling:
The MG ZT with a V8 - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Didn’t realise until this thread came along that this car was available with this engine.
In another thread somebody mentioned the a Jag S type with a V8 aswell - I always thought this was an oil burning motorway cruiser.
Simple rule is the engine must be factory built in to the car so no crazy engine conversions.
Over to you..

Really?
The S-Type from launch, and for the first 5 years of its existence was ONLY available as a petrol V8 or V6. The diesel variant came very late.
And the V8 rover? Again, every petrolhead should be aware of its existence.

Its a car Ive never took any notice of and made a wrong assumption.
