this micra 86bhp diesel , bought by me new 2010 for £6800 no miles just registered at the end of the old micra line sale. MODS lowered 60mm Wolfrace split rims 17inch 205 -40mm just fit snug, k-n flat filter , a diesel power plug -in box, , cut inch off gearstick fitted nex momo gear nob. from 86 bhp now 112bhp , but its the tourqe power you wont believe. It pulls for england and if you quick with the gear change you will leave some red face,s. cornering on some nice soft tyres is a dream never lets you down. All togeather with the wheels off ebay??? obout £7800 thats brand new , done now 10,000 need new front tyres. SO if you can get over the looks go for the last diesel there 86bhp when the old were ony 68bhp,being diesel you can tune to max . insurance road tax dead cheap an the micra can hammer some serious motors.

The last car I bought that cost less than your Micra was a TVR Chimaera for £4000

Leaving me plenty of change for paying the £250 VED.

I then sold it for £5000 as unlike your Micra old TVRs don't depreciate.

Being a car enthusiast pretty much the last thing I consider is VED.
You miss the point this is brand new not , made in a shed and always breaking down. Micras dont depreciate they dont cost much in the first place. Not like TVT bleeding from the jugular money by the day. BUDDY THAT WAS A st PUT DOWN

It was payed for out the back pocket, and the car back to normal on 10,000 MILE is worth , wait for it £6000 not bad fall in 3 year £800 . So dont feed off each other on that score. The point its fun to drive and its a diesel a totally different car for no money with a few mods, some of you may pay more insurance than the micra costs.

So take off £1000 at least.

And in returning it to stock, many savvy buyers might spot your mods.

I'm not pissing on your parade, I think life is about how you drive it, not what it is, or what mods it has, just be realistic that you haven't quite got the bargain that you think you have.
im not for selling it so i have, 2 months before i bought the micra they were £9000 then they mass sold the old stock i payed the £6800 an traded the wifes sport ka for £4500. Six weeks before i was offered £3600 by another nissan dealer for the KA I traveled 40 miles an got the price i asked.

I would have preferred the 91 (?) Raider special edition in blue.

We aren't all young here... wink
the RAIDER WAS £2000 more and all it had was an upgrade on the stereo , i no what you mean they sold out the first batch so they made more like they did with the williams clio. and rendered them none collectable. I had a white clio 1800 INJECTION that was chipped and faster than the williams , you had to really hammer the clio,s.

Enough difference on standard cars to knock 1.3 seconds off the 0-60 time?

rofl
There was many a debate with these cars . if you had been around to drive more than 1 you would no. The garage that did the sevice would say to a owner , after test drive after main service oooooooo you got one of the fast ones. so YES
