My car was in for a service at the weekend, and ended up having some work done reaching a total of around £500. After I left I was looking at the invoice and I noticed I've been charged ~£10 for an air filter, when there is a K&N cone filter on the ST. Probably didn't think about it at the time as it was there when I bought it and I've only had the car a month.

So, would you go back for your tenner (the garage is a 2 min drive from my house) or would you just leave it.

Well aware this is not life or death, just contemplating my move tomorrow and I'm bored on a late one at work!

I trust the garage so I'm assuming it's just miscommunication between the guy totting up the bill, and the guy fitting the bits.

Maybe they charged you for cleaning the air filter instead of replacing it?
I thought of that but it's still very dusty, plus it's a item not labour price.

As for not trusting them, as I said this isn;t the issue, I think it was a genuine mistake - just wondering who would go back for the tenner.

If you have to ask, then it sounds like you have more money than sense confused
If only that were the case. I'm just lazy and feel like I'm making a fuss over 2% of a bill. I have however sorted it out now.

What did you do?
Went in on saturday but they were closed, with a couple of lads still working I think on their own car. He said it should be fine, and left a note for someone to call me today. Not had a call yet, but I'm not concerned that they're gunna fob me off I'm sure it just won't be on top of their list of priorities.
