Thinking about selling my current car and buying an estate as hopefully will be completing a house renovation soon and so wanting to avoid the cost of too many skips and the benefit of being able to collect materials without waiting for delivery.

Looked at vans but decided that due to insurance costs to give them a miss and just get a big estate instead. Thinking cheap so £1k-£2k, been looking old volvos which seem to go on forever. Petrol could be OK as I won't be covering that many miles.

Any suggestions on what would make a cheap, reliable tank that I can fill with rubble, dust and 2x4"!

Nissan Stagea - i'm not sure i've ever seen one, looks huge but only 1 within 100 miles of me @ £4k

Saab 9-5 is a great call, hadn't realised they were so cheap - seen a couple online with just over 100k, fully kitted out for £1500ish and like the look of them,
