Hello,
Quick query if I may.
I'm currently converting a Peugeot 106 to a 16v track day toy. With any luck, in the next week or so the engine will be in and it'll be running and ready for some shakedown testing before I start the next phase which will be a suspension rear beam overhaul.
The car is currently MOT'd, and it's also insured on a specialist policy with Adrian Flux, with a completed modified vehicle report form, new engine number supplied to them etc etc.
I wrote the DVLA to declare the engine swap, and amended the details required on the log book with the new capacity and engine number. Thing is, I did it in advance so I'd have the log book back, it's been just over 4 weeks now and I've heard nothing yet.
Does anyone else have any past experience in turnaround times? Log books / address changes are usually 2 weeks ish in my experience? Am I right in thinking that really I need to keep it off the road until I have the amended log book back, lest they ask for an engineers report or something?
