Hi all. Question for you, a neighbour who knew I had bikes before moving in is now complain about my 6:30 to 6:45 start up.. The bike has a standard road legal exhaust, and is parked on my front garden. It is too heavy to move without the engine on as the path is sloped and awkward, am I being unreasonable starting it at this time and riding off a minute or so later? If I don't idle it, it stalls unless revved a lot higher, so I feel a bit trapped. Taking the car is a nightmare. Any suggestions please. If I'm really being out of order id like to know. Cheers all.

It's standard. All of it. The original oem exhaust is on it now. I was starting it, and putting on lid and gloves and locking the door. I've now tried riding off after less than 10 seconds, slight slope to ride up hence more revs. Will go and see if it was quieter! I don't know what more I can do other than park somewhere else and risk theft. Thanks for your replies.

Not in, so I left a very polite note. Hopefully this'll result in happiness all round. Ironically *she* has parked across two spaces on the allocated car park. Funny!

It must be easier and more beneficial to the OP to get the bike running right instead of persisting with an obvious issue which is now causing grief with the neighbours.
It is in perfect running order. I have to do a 90 degree full lock turn up a slight incline and over a bump. This can stall the engine if not revved a a bit. The bike can do 70mph in first when hot, but this gearing means stalling when doing the afore mentioned manoeuvre. By letting it stop fast idle I can control it easier. I nearly dropped it once when it stalled as I was being too cautious. It gets heavy real fast when falling over, enough that you could burst a disk in your back. That's why I prefer to warm it up a bit. However to reduce irritation caused by the previous legal, after market exhaust, it now wears the original manufacturers exhaust. This does not eliminate the stall problem but should reduce noise. I'm experimenting with how to get off the garden without needing the turn - I do listen to my neighbours as I don't wish to offend theme, and this is why I asked you lot for an opinion!

Slight update: having discovered that the fast idle is capable of getting me up the slope and round the corner, WITHOUT needing warming up, that's what I've been doing. So press starter, with clutch in, first gear engaged... Leave it 5 seconds for the oil to move a bit, then away. Think this May have solved the problems for everyone. I wasn't aware that the idle speed would allow this, as previously I had a carbed bike. This one is injection. It doesn't feel right though, but I'll put my neighbours happiness in front of my mechanical sympathy. At least by starting in gear it doesn't do that awful bang when put into first at high idle!!!! Conversely, it would be nice if she didn't slam the house door at 2am when coming home from the club. Would also be nice if I had a reply saying thanks for enquiring if it was better now.

Dunno what was first but I've just started noticing the door. Perhaps if she got home earlier then a 6:30 start wouldn't be so bad!
