Tesla vs what else for £54000

50th birthday next year.im tempted by a new tesla model s .but what else should I cosider for £54000.
I can just afford monthly payments over 6 years.

So far I'm looking at second hand Audi R8 Nissan GT-R or Porsche caymen.
This will be a last splurge before retirement so don't want to regret purchase.

I was thinking of picking up new tesla and travelling for free from scotland to Europe using the supercharger network but just a thought. At the moment.

Lastly I don't want to be stung by massive ownership costs or pick a car that will depreciate rapidly..any thoughts welcome.

Tesla free road tax and possible free fuel is appealing as I've got a renault twizy for a fun car and never drive my SKODA VRS anymore.

Some food for thought .maybe leasing is an idea.

As I said don't dismiss electric cars.ive only got a twizy but it's got to be one of the most fun cars I've had plus have you seen the YouTube videos of the tesla insane mode. 0-60 in 3.3 secs.
