Tyre question?
Discussion
Got a call from my step daughter to put the spare on her car as she had a flat tyre. When I removed the wheel I noticed a big split where it looks like 2 tyres had been joined at the side! She bought 4 Firestone tyres from a place in Worthing 3 years ago and insists she's not had a new tyre since. Can anyone help shed some light or has anyone seen this before as I can't believe I've not noticed it before! I've heard of remoulds but sticking rubber on!?
Ok I'm slow and I need an ambulance but if that's due to running flat, it's the most precise neatly cut precise tyre wear I've ever seen. I will take it to garage when I'm realised from hospital and get some professional advice I asked for advice I should have known better really!

I can see what you are all saying now but have never seen this before. I found it incomprehensible that someone would stick rubber to the edge of a tyre and for what gain! But that is what it looks like to a tyre novice which I clearly am. I guess I find it hardest to accept that my step daughter has driven on that tyre so under inflated that it would do that sort of damage! I am not normally this slow on the uptake but at least I have amused you all tonight with my ignorance
