What's the shortest you've owned a car?

Thinking of selling up, only three months after purchase, much to the disgust of my better half. Would lose 1400 if I sold to WBAC, 700 if I sold to the best trade offer I have received, and 300-500 if I managed to sell privately at the price I'd expect.

Anyone kept a car for less time, or lost considerably more in a short time?

As I have pointed out, is there any difference to losing 400 after three months than losing 1600 if I sold after a year?
