Hello

I need some help in regarding a parking matter as you can see from the picture below there is six parking bays for anyone to use. I have 2 households saying that its 1 space for each household but there isn't a sign saying reserved parking or anything to suggest other wise.

Also i have own the black jaguar in the picture and also have the BT ford transit for work.

What do you think i should do? Do i confrobt both households saying there wrong as the council haven't said its reserved for the six households as i have seen other people using them when there is a couple of free spaces available.

The empty parking spot next to the mini is also occupied by another neighbour who also own the mini yet they don't seem to have a problem with them and also the other household has no vehicles and thats the one who put the note though my front door. Also i have parked there for a few years without any hassle.

I agree with you all about it being inconsiderate but this neighbour seems to think that cause they have been moved by the council that they have the right to demand everything. Nothing had been said by anyone until they moved in and they also have a parking at the back of there house where some old garages used to be which can be accessed by there back gate.

Don't you know what van you drive!? Surely that's a Vauxhall Vivaro?

Can’t you just bump the van on the grass when you get home in the evening?
I’m quite lucky where I live regarding neighbours and and parking.very often used to park my eight wheel tipper lorry opposite the house several nights a week.used to take a bit of rubbish if anyone needed it dumping and kept them all sweet-saved myself up to two hours not having to take the lorry back to the yard.
It helped massively that I knew most of them really well though.
I could but then i probably get moaned at cause it marked the grass by next door neighbour which is in support of me in this suitiuation.

why can't you just leave the van at the yard? seems like pointless confrontation unless its saving you hours in travel time.
All my work gear is in the van because i in customers houses fixing telephone wires and my jobs could be from newcastle upon tyne all the way down to York so the van there so i can get to my first job of the day at the time BT say i will be there.

The neighbour who has complained does not require a space -is that right? So they're either being arsey or acting on behalf of another neighbour.
Politely ask them why they think they need to police the parking, and offer to talk to any car owning neighbour about coming to an arrangement that suits everyone.
Meantime check with the council.

Does the neighbour have visitors that want to park and can't?

Do you need the 2 spaces? ie do you go to work in the van and your wife has the car? If you leave you car all day while you go to work in the van that would piss theneighbours off.
Thats what i am thinking that the being arsey because my wife has made a complaint about them letting there dog just s@!t everywhere on the grass infront of the houses regarding the car and work van the wife takes the car to get to her work so when were out at work if they have visitors they can park.

I notice there are driveways in front of the houses, I assume your home does not have one then?

I only bring this up because I am wondering if one of those two neighbors complaining have a driveway in front of their home, and if so are they then counting the other spot to park across the street as an extra for them?
One of the house does has a driveway and the other house doesn't but has no vehicles apart from the odd visit by there family which has had no problem parking and other visits by lads on mopeds visting for less 2mins dropping drugs off.
