Providing photo of V5C to potential buyers?

I have been contacted by a few potential buyers requesting a photo of my V5C document.
Is this the norm? I know that most of the details can be obtained anyway (such as the VIN) however I do feel a little uncomfortable with all of my details and the previous owners' details being on there.
What is your view on this, am I just being paranoid?
