No idea how many PHers take an interest in the US Cannonball record attempts, of have watched and read the videos and books which surround this underground motorsport, however this video was posted by whats now the previous record holder, yesterday.

I finished reading Ed's book on a flight recently, having really only become aware of him and his passion for the Cannonball through his VinWiki YouTube postings.
Whilst I'm not shy of making good pace on journeys, and love a big road trip, I find the dedication and preparation for this type of venture absolutely mind-blowing.
The appreciation of risk, and mitigation and management of that risk is what sets Bolian way above the Alex Roy type of approach to the challenge.

That's the bit that would be the worst for me. The anxiety of waiting for up to that long, wondering if there might be a knock on a door at any time.It's bad enough buzzing along at a health rate of knots, and passing a police car heading the other way
