Got my Corvette's MOT booked for this Thursday, first time it'll have moved in 4 months or so! Can't wait to get out and about in it again.

Also got the added fun of my brother, Dad and myself having gone 3 ways on an Ariel Atom 3, which I've not even see in the flesh yet, so even more fair weather fun to be had!

You’re a month behind me!
Out and driving around ASAP to see what, if anything, I need to repair/replace before longer trips.
rofl with hindsight I've probably missed quite a few nice weather days already, but in general I wait until clocks change to start getting some evening use.

Just popped back to my house to make sure I can actually get the car out on Thursday! Forgot with all the house stuff being delivered it might have been blocked in! Phew.

Not a Summer car, But I had Cup2s fitted at the end of February. Very much summer tyres :P
Yeah, I hear ya there! Corvette came with them, I could barely make it round sighting laps at Silverstone when it rained.

Nice to see people beginning to get their motors out.

I bought this in December and it has sat in the garage until last weekend where I finally got to take it out on its first drive. Roll on the better weather and here's to some great adventures for all :-)

Liking everything about that!

I was going to but the chassis legs are rusty and I'm probably better off scrapping it than trying to save it frown
What car is it?

I had to do the chassis legs on my Evo, over £4k bill but no way was I ever scrapping that car.

I wish the bloody BBC etc could get more accurate with the weather! I was trying to plan to take the Corvette for its MOT on a dry day, but tomorrow is looking worse all the time!

It’s the initial startup that I’m putting off.
If they don’t start you’ve got an unwanted project on your list.
Yes, I'm also a bit worried about this. I've never owned a car that I've just left plugged in for 4 months without starting it......but it's a 2015 car so I'm hoping modern enough that I don't need to worry about anything.

That sounds fine at that age. What I have found is that it’s worth switching the charger off and on again from time to time.
It’s surprising the state they decide the battery is actually in after previously displaying a full charge.

I’ve been starting a particularly iffy starter every couple of weeks over the winter and the CTEK has been showing the battery in the green all the time.
A couple of days ago the battery gave out before the car would start.
When I unplugged/plugged the charger it decided the battery wasn’t too well actually!
So I’ve left it in ‘restore’ mode or whatever it is.

If that doesn’t work, I’ve got to tow the car backwards out of the garage to get to the battery.

Im beginning to wonder whether I need the hassle tbh.
Hmmmm that's probably a good idea, and takes 2 seconds to do. Shame I'm now one day before actually needing to start it rofl

Waiting for April 1st, hate paying the £580 tax, needs an MOT too actually.

Bloody window jet nozzles stopped working, again, so will fix them and assuming it pass no issues.
Indeed, I will get mine MOTd tomorrow but put it back in the garage before taxing it in April 1st.

I've just taxed mine to avoid the increase on 1st April. Paid £330 for the year instead of £600 it will be after 1st April, even though car won't move until June I should imagine.
Whoaaaaaa, what have I missed? Is road tax shooting up in April?? Should I be taxing mine before then?!

Car started immediately after 4 months sitting doing nothing. Don't know what I was worried about!

Yeah, whoah, hit the brakes, say WHAT?
To save you some time, I THINK what's happening is that everyone's road tax will be going up by about £20 or so.

Took the Corvette out for a spin yesterday. Had about an hour to kill, spent half of it in traffic, then most of the rest trundling through little villages at 40, then a couple of chances to floor it on the A3 leg back home.

Nice to be out again.

Where did you get the front number plate from? I would like one that style on my car. It has currently got a plinth with the plate stuck on that. But I think how you have done it would look better on my car.
That's actually a photo from when I first picked up the car 18 months ago.....it came like that from the dealer.
I've since changed it after being pulled over and charged £100.

Not yet...this is being forecast for next week.

I just don't know what to believe. My weather app was telling me it was blazing sunshine all day today......nothing but cloud right now.

One forecast says all weekend is dry and quite sunny, another says mostly cloudy. As my car is a targa top, it's rather important to know if I'm expecting rain or not!

New tyres fitted, alignment and then MOT (a brake pipe split on the test so all new brake pipes fitted - lucky I wasn't on the road as pedal went to the floor eek) so ready for the season.
Been great out in the sun this week on little trips. Nice to be out again.
Liking that.

Just put my Boxster and M3 away after winter and got the two Fezzas out today. Getting the classics out of the other garages at the weekend. Better than Christmas! Just been for a first beat in the Spider. The turn in on that thing is just epic.

It occurs to me every year that I'm probably the only person putting a Boxster away for summer.

Not sure what’s nicer, the fleet or the garage setup.
