Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's XL
Discussion
I want to order some of these online from Blackcircle
www.blackcircles.com
these are described as "long life" are there two different types? I've had some gsd3's before, and i just asked for them at the shop and got given them, nothing was mentioned about them being long life or anything ?????
Am i ok buying these? or should i look for gsd3's that are not "XL" ??
cheers PH Massiiiiive
the size i want is 195/45/16

Would suggest you email both Blackcircles and Mytyres and play them off against each other - tell both of them that the other one is quoting and can they email you their best offer. I saved a further 140 quid doing this! Best of all when I told my local BMW stealer the quote, they undercut it by a tenner a corner and fitted them for free!
Lesson = lots of sales margin in tyres...
F1 long life's have a slightly harder compound and I've heard they're pants; as standard they are superb tyres but if you are a 'brisk' driver then you'll chew a set of standard F1's in around 8k-9k miles! Never had the long-life ones so can't comment apart from what I've heard; however in the wet you can't beat the standards and they're easy to retain control should you have an unplanned slide!! A great feature of the Evo 8 FQ I used to have!
Edited for sh1t spelling!
