Most useless car accessory of all time ??
Discussion
OK, I'll start with 3 nominations :
1) anti-lift windscreen wiper blades, the chavs fit them to the hatchback wiper of their Fiestas to prevent the dreaded wiper-lift when they reverse at high speed.
2) a neat little device that I saw for sale on a cross-channel ferry. A small circular plastic box that you stick on the dashboard when touring abroad. When you push the button the microchip chirps up with "drive on the right". Hang-on if you remember to push the button you must be remembering to drive on the right, no ?
3) For those of you of a certain age, the rubber earthing strap that dangled from your bumper and prevented car sickness...err no.
Any offers ?

3) wasn't that strap used to prevent static build up on the valour (sp?) seats used in the 80's?
My God - you believed it ?3) For those of you of a certain age, the rubber earthing strap that dangled from your bumper and prevented car sickness...err no.

..and another one. If you own a classic car that sits in the garage all winter you can buy custom rubber mats that mimic the contour of your tyres and prevent "expensive flat spotting", £125 a set , what a bargain.
Personally I prefer to wander into the garage every fortnight or so, fire the car up and move it forward a foot and then turn it off. Saves me £125 and another £500 by preventing the clutch/brakes from binding, an even bigger bargain.
