309 GTI any good? Better value than 205 GTI

As above are they any good, they seem to be a lot cheaper than the 205 GTIs and I know some people think they are even better than the 205 so any experiences or opinions welcome.

So do we think the price diff is to do with the fact it's nt as good looking or because it's not a hot hatch

Just thinking they were good value as I've seen good ones for 1k. And they have to be rarer than 205s
