duratec engined mx5?

has anyone ever read/seen/chetted to someone about etc a duratec engined mx5? it seems to make some sense given that the 'tec has a mazda-fit bellhousing (or rather a mazda bell housing fits to it).. but just wondering if the duratec is too big/heavy etc.

oh and on duratecs - was the st170 a duratec or a zetec?

yeah sure [ ] i was wondering about them in 'proper' mx5s esp the mk1!
