VOLVO S60 T5 or D5 FOR 6k?

Hi guys,
I'm in the process of looking for a new car. I have narrowed my choice down to a Volvo S60 but im unsure which model to buy for the best. I have found a few possible cadidates but two that i am very interested in and can possibly view them both tomorrow as they are both local ish.
A T5 SE Here 45k on a '55 plate

I will obviously get a better idea after seeing them both in the flesh but id like to know which one would be the better engine to buy. I have a new job and will only be covering approx 4000 miles per year. Thats why i considered the T5 but as i can get a similar spec D5 i cant ignore it as after eading a couple of reviews it seems to be a great engine and package. I cant see the interior on the D5 but im guessing its not as nice as the T5 with the alu trim and sphere gear knob etc, plus is cream leather trim and i'd prefer the black but these details i can ignore for the right car.
So what do you guys think, plus ive read they are pretty reliable but is the D5 more relaible or vice versa?

i have owned both. however you are looking at the wrong D5 . The D5 you have chosen is the one with 163bhp.. You want to be looking at the 185bhp Euro Version, with 295lbt. The D5 Euro spec with 185bhp, is a nippy car, as its got 295lbt of torquer it doesnt feel much slower than the T5 when driving.
The D5 185bhp model give me 45mpg, whereas the T5 i had averaged 25mpg. The insurance on the T5 was also 500quid more expensive per year. I have my D5 185bhp version on 18 inch wheels, all the toys, and its never broken down on me, its now got 201,000 miles! my Old T5 had 101k miles when i got rid of it and it broke down twice. I would strongly recommend you view a D5 euro 185mph model variety as IMO its the best engine Volvo has made
mine has the brushed alloy interior, both had leather seats and were/are black, i have 18 inch wheels on the d5 which make the turning circle ludicrously massive. the t5 i remember had lots of trouble getting the power down, also it ate front tyres very quickly. the d5 185bhp i have does 0/60 in just under 8 seconds and thats without remap, the t5 did it 6.5 seconds but as mentioned before only did 25mpg, when i put my foot down i could see the active mpg computer show it doing 12mpg

Guys im having a nightmare choosing what to buy next.
I didnt go to the dealer to view the T5 today after some more research last night. I feel i choose the right car for my money and then find a review or some feedback on a forum that puts me right off. I am now seriously considering an ST220 at '03 upwards or a '04 plate Jaguar X-Type 3.0 Sport Manual with all the toys. What has really put me off the Volvo is one the turning circle but most of all i have read numerous people saying that the ride is very crashy over rough roads and a comparible mondeo soaks up bumps and potholes much better and is generally a better package. I have read soooo many threads on here today about 'ST220 vs ......' that i really can't discount one as the vehicle im looking for. The X-Type im looking at ticks all the boxes but when i go on the x-type sub forum of the jaguar forum its all doom and gloom with nearly every thread being a problem thread and owners having to spend fortunes on their cars to keep them on the road. A very different impression is given on this forum, saying how underrated the x-type is etc. I see nothing but good feedback for the ST220 with pretty much the only significant problems being they can spin a main bearing with low oil and the rear suspension bushes being prone to failure.
