I'm turning 21 in June and fancy a new car have 15k tops to spend the less the better tbh,
I'm looking for something quick around200bhp
57 plate onwards I have a private plate
Will need to be practical to an extent, so no stripped out racer but I do intend to do some track days in it tho
I test drove a fiat 500 abarth and it was great but looks a little bit girly
Top of my list is a corsa vxr
Not keen on the clio200

Oh and before anyone says save my money etc, I have and this won't put me in any financial problems

+1.

Have you really looked at what is out there for this money. Bundles of 911s, Ferrari Mondials, Escort Cosworth, all with well over 200BHP and all in another league to a VXR.
I'm going to be 21 I would kill myself

Why do you prefer the Corsa over the Clio 200? The Clio is a much nicer, better looking car and would murder the Corsa on track days.
Clio would be too hardcore as a road car for long journeys

I'd forget about the 57 plate onwards personally, and get something like this:

Private plate will cover the age, and 4k left over to spend on insurance
Had a look at m3's but can't get insured until im 21 whereas I can get the boxster now! So will be ringing round this week

With a couple of yrs NCB, insured for 5000 miles and grandparents as additional drivers. I think 10months on an Elephant policy would fall short of £2000 at 21.

Its not extreme enough to call for a custard test nono
I pay less than 1800 and the policy is in my name

Why do you need to spend £15k?

Why not spend £8k and bank the rest for something else / saving / investment / paydown your mortgage / add to a house deposit etc...
I ended up "spending" 8500 with some finance on very managable payments and put more money into my new business
