Who knows? I have just put a deposit down on a 997.1 Turbo just in case :-)
If previous turbos are anything to go by, I don't think that good examples will be shedding value anytime soon.
What's the spec then Steve? Any pics?If previous turbos are anything to go by, I don't think that good examples will be shedding value anytime soon.
Even with recent prices values are now north of £50k .
997 chassis offers a more analogue platform for enthusiastic drivers to tap into.
For the purists the 6 speed manual gearbox.
The turbochargers are pretty special with the first variable turbine geometry .
Power 480 BHP 18 more than a GT2.
The car still looks great today .

Just waiting for the first EV 911 to come along and then im hanging up my petrolhead coat.
I'm just trying to get a value for my 2008 997.1 turbo, for insurance purposes. The "What Car" free valuation has come up with a dealer price of £69,788; private of £66,085; P/X of £65,446; trade-in of £64,349.
The car's in excellent condition, with low mileage (12k miles), but are these values anywhere near correct?

They seem a tad optimistic. The car's in excellent condition, with low mileage (12k miles), but are these values anywhere near correct?
Car is probably worth around £60k tops, however there is a similar car for sale in the trade for £68k which was sold by the original owner for around £54k
Hope that helps

Thanks. It's a very artificial exercise valuing a car like this - the values seem all over the place. All I know is that it was difficult to buy the car that I wanted in 2009 - If I had to replace it now, 'd expect to have to pay a premium for a manual 2008 with low mileage and excellent bodywork.
