Final Batch of 3RSs and Speedsters - Do They Have the PF?

Hi Guys,
I have a Speedster coming around August and a 3RS WP coming in July. I wanted to ask if any of you know if the incoming 991 UK cars have the Particle Filter or of that is just the 992s?
I really appreciate the help as I want to buy a full exhaust system but it likely won’t be compatible on cars with the PF.

No-one seems to know. My OPC SA didn't when I asked out of curiosity. However, as a large scale manufacturer I don't think Porsche have any way to avoid fitting them.
There was a post on here about the second batch GT3RS saying that they hadn't actually got through the WLTP testing with the GPF yet. Where that leaves the current orders, who knows?

UK Dealers have now been informed of how many cars they are getting, when configurations can commence and when first orders will be produced.

No problem. I speculated that the current GT3RS orders could possibly be the last available build slots for 991 models, but if they don't get through the WLTP with GPFs fitted in a way that Porsche are happy with they may not appear. Pure guesswork from me though, based on my guess that they won't want them to have less BHP and worse MPG than the first non-GPF batch.
There's a rumour that the Speedster (and 718 GT4) may appear at the New York Auto Show in a couple of weeks which may tell us more about how the GPF affects the GT3 engine.

I'm no expert, nor do I have any Porsche info, but based on the EU rules for new cars I can only see them arriving with a GPF. In my opinion, if there was a way they could have been delivered without them they would have arrived long before now.
The fact there's no definitive information either way on their spec would appear to support the information in another thread that they will have a GPF and that the testing has not been finalised yet. It would also explain why the Speedster has not yet appeared either.

That does make sense. Weird that dealers can’t get a straight answer from Porsche, nor give one to the people they are offering cars to.
There are only three answers really.
Yes it will have a filter and it’s all certified
...or
No it won’t have one as we’ve got a waiver
..or
It needs one but we haven’t certified it yet.

It is definitely number 3. I said months ago that Porsche will not be able to reintroduce the GT3 RS with a GPF while retaining the same 520PS. Simple fact is that 130PS/L is the limit for a road going NA engine without a restrictive filter..Its a simple solution with forced induction but not with normally aspiration.Taffy66 said:

I agree that this is probably the case but why offer cars to people with a risk they’ll never arrive? Maybe they have just chucked a few out there with the latest possible production dates in the hope they can deliver them?
I would be really shocked if Porsche did something this unprofessional. To get their best customers excited and then disappoint them for the sake of making only a few more cars is a very bad idea. Someone would lose their job for this in my organisation, unless it was stated at the time of the build locking that there was an issue with GBF and this was only a potential build.
I have asked my dealer this question and should have an answer later today.

In which case i stand corrected as you usually have 100% accurate inside info..Having said that option 2 is the only option if they want to retain the full 520PS which i still believe i'm correct about.Will this waiver apply to the Speedster as well or will they be content with a 500PS engine .
