Facebook ( that reliable source of info ) has several posts suggesting there are £40k discounts on new turbo s.

Can anyone substantiate that. I am in the market.

Thx

Start phoning dealers and have the discussion. You'll substantiate what you've heard that way better than asking on here. For what it's worth the market on 992 Turbo S's is definitely very soft but you'll only know what the very best opportunity is if you start calling several dealers and making it clear that you'll buy a new from stock or recently pre-owned car if the price is compelling

A scarcely credible 169 off 992 Turbo S for sale on Autotrader - Wow!

Suspect these have a massive re-adjustment in price imminent. I’d defo be pushing really hard for a massive discount if buying one just now - Or wait a couple of months, as I suspect there will be some eye wateringly good deals by then.

£7K knocked off on this one. I can't imagine one can get 40K off.

Still expensive for such a boring car.....that is why so many are for sale. Can't use the power, when you can its too easy. Whats the point.

I've been interested in this too but from the other side as my TurboS cab is up for sale. As FirstSeaLord suggests, ring up several OPCs as they'll all be in different positions. From my experience, new physical cars offer the best discount and the slightly more 'brave' specs are getting more discounted (the aerokit cars seem to be selling quicker as it hasnt been readily available). The (MY24) speccable slots seem to have already been sold with some discount I imagine but nowhere near the 40k. The steady increase in prices over the last few years is skewing the market slightly as the market will be comparing cars with significant list price differences for essentially the same car.

P.S. I can't imagine a more inappropriate word to use to describe the TurboS than 'boring'. It's one of the best cars I've had. Good luck with your hunt 👍

Thanks for the replies.

I am driving a turbo s cab on quite a long loan from the dealer at the moment and it is that car I am looking to buy if the price is reasonable.

I will see what comes out of the wood work. A used one is likely better value but who knows in the current market.

There's your £40k discount, admittedly MY23 and MY24 price difference but £203k on configurator and £163k now, delivery mileage.

Again I admit we are shoe-horning the justification here but it is a 'new' car, with £40k off list.

roflroflrofl

its back! this one should be called the australian edition as it keeps coming back like a boomerang. it was taken off sale a few weeks back after the attention it was getting on sm and this forum due to the discount. guess theres only so long they can hide it round the back laugh i was told they wouldnt discount it any further, but looks like they've knocked a couple more k off.

they got a tough job getting this gone even with another 10k off. pink with silver seatbelts, white dials and yellow stitch vomit
who ever specced this must be still on the naughty step!

cab is the one which is gonna take biggest hit and take the longest to move imo. 35 new listed with more available which arent listed.
can't see many looking to 150k on a cab going into winter, so can forget the 200k+ new ones are advertised at.
people need to get real about where these prices are at. some are still trying to sell at around list/just under for used cars. try 30-35k off invoice price and you might get it shiffted.

this one looks decent if you can get another 10-15k off.

I've seen exact spec car at my local OPC which isnt West London.

Did Porsche build a load of PINK ones that they cant sell or at that price are they offering a BOGOF

The 992 Turbo S that sold on collecting cars very recently for circa £130k is no longer listed on the “Sold” pages. I wonder why…….

Sorry for the dim question. As someone who has driven a 992 turbo S, but not owned one (I had a. 992 C2S), why is there such a lack of love in the market for this model in particular?

There was plenty of love for them when you could drive one for a couple of years for no cost or even make a profit. Now that is not the case they are not so lusted after!

It's the same for GT cars too. Everyone wants one and moan they can't get one at list even though they're a true 'enthusiast' blah blah, until there's no free ownership, then all of sudden they're not as attractive anymore or they can't find their perfect spec... sigh

Who in their right mind is going to pay £160k for a Porsche 911 Turbo ??????

Have their list prices shot up that much as surely that's a £140k car max at list not £186k.
That's getting into supercar territory

Yeh, for that money you’d want 0-60 in 2.8 secs, 0-100 in 6.3 and 200mph - oh hang on
