Gotcha - same problem as me then, you need custom brackets for a bigger disk! And fair play on swapping the pads in and out - i'm getting too old for that ;-)shalmaneser said:

Wandering if I should bother trying my set now. Currently in the stores cupboard.
You've previously said you're not much of a "push on" driver - I *am* and I think stock pads are brilliant on the road .... I'm not sure yellow stuff are for you. Mind you, as said it's fairly easy to swap them round if you don't like them.And thanks Barry - I had seen that before, I've just not got round to buying it

IIRC the DS2500s come with small print about not being suitable for road use.

I've been on yellowstuffs all year round, and don't find them too bad, they take a little warming up, but are great once warm. (Agree with the comments above that your driving style probably has a large effect on what brakes are "right" for you). I haven't really experienced any squealing with mine - a friends GT3 on Pagid RSL29 was a very different matter however!And thanks Barry - I had seen that before, I've just not got round to buying it
My nerv went this morning , had to take 996 to work today. Got it opened , windows totally froozen , when i went to shut door the windows wouldnt drop & the seal was very stiff, i felt if i closed it harder the window would go....
Had to sitt with door ajar until it heated up so window would lower.

I knackered the window mechanism on my Boxster trying to open it in cold weather - now if it’s cold I just pour a milk carton of tepid/warm water over the seals and glass … that works perfectly and is instant, rather than having to sit and wait for it to warm up

I've got similar Pagid pads and they're a bit noisy when cold. Really good when pushing on though, not that I did much of that in mine today as it was really slippery out. Edmundo2 said:

MOT time for mine this week.
Failed the pre MOT on a few bits… tie rod, no number plate lights, no dipped beam (!) and ABS light on (!)… the later 2 not mentioned by my wife… she said ‘I thought the headlights weren’t very good so I’ve been driving with the fog lights on’… in and out of London at 5am/8pm 3 times a week. FFS.
Needed a switch, ABS sensor, plus a new number plate assembly and the tie rods. All done and 12 month ticket sorted.
Looking forward to my trip back to the Uk for Christmas next week and a chance to see and drive it post all the work it’s had this year.
Not looking forward to the cold/snow/frost… it’s still 17/18* here.

That is interesting. I'm got a BMC filter, can't say I've noticed much difference in power but it does sound nice. Would be interested to see what the difference in power (if any) there is from blocking off the resonator. Will watch again when I'm not at work!Found this "Quite interesting". When I got my 996 it had the resonator blocked off but I wanted it back stock and didn't notice any difference in power so from my experience it's negligible at best.Lightweight flywheels. Good? Bad? Indifferent? Mines booked in for a new clutch, manifolds, the brake line that goes over the box + whatever else gets thrown at me so it's a good time to see if it's worth doing.
Also manifolds = the cheapy eBay ones? I seem to remember they're as good as any
