They're expensive and not "essential"....the Porsche Configurator is a very dangerous place! Hard to spec a GTS without putting £15k (and some much more) of options so adding another £3k can just tip people over the edge.
Yes, the configurator is very dangerous - I'm at £20k of options and struggling to decide what I would be happy without! No buckets either, but the 18 way seats instead. This nigh on 2 year GTS has sold quickly. Nice spec. PCCB's, Manual, Aerokit etc

Cheap motoring for the previous owner (not that he did much of it).
Cracking car for 100 grand.

So, with the configurator now up and running, they have now added PTS Crayon, which imo looks great on the GTS, any other takers......
Lots of people thinking of Crayon for the GT3 as well. I can't make my mind up about it. Here's a pick of a Crayon 911 I found https://www.instagram.com/p/BOmqxUvhxSv/It's not PTS on the GTS though they have added PTS back to the configurator I see!
Anyone else noticed the price increase?, my original specification:

Won't let me change this build and now a new build to the same spec is about £2k more!

Price increase relates to MY 2018 cars, so June 2017 build onwards. If your car is delivered before this date, then you shouldl pay the old pricehttp://www.porsche-code.com/PHZPHSE4

I didn't realize that a price increase was imminent, although I'm not totally shocked due to the weakness of sterling.
My car should be delivered to the OPC in about 3 weeks, so I will escape this price increase, which makes me feel a little bit better considering the disgraceful first year car tax I am obligated to pay.

I apologise in advance as this has almost certainly been covered somewhere, but this is a very long thread to trawl through!
I am undecided about the suspension on my GTS specification, the car I test drove was a C4S with Sport PASM and PDCC, it was comfortable enough on main roads but did feel every bump more than my Boxster GTS (on PASM) does. I'm pretty sure I won't bother with PDCC, but I will choose Rear Axle Steering. My dilemma is over which PASM to go for - Sport (-20) or Normal (-10)? There is unlikely to be much if any track use and given the state of many UK roads I wonder if the normal PASM would give me sufficient body control - or is the Sport PASM a much better option?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gorsh..In my opinion you are right to choose RAS over PDCC based on my recent PEC day however the choice over 10mm vs Standard -20mm suspension is down to personal preference..I am undecided about the suspension on my GTS specification, the car I test drove was a C4S with Sport PASM and PDCC, it was comfortable enough on main roads but did feel every bump more than my Boxster GTS (on PASM) does. If you go to the CAR magazine review of the 991.2S review they find the -20mm suspension overly firm and imo if you find the ride too jiggly you should spec the 0 cost option of the -10mm option..

I didn't order PDCC either. I have driven a car with it fitted, and didn't like it, it felt a little artificial.I am undecided about the suspension on my GTS specification, the car I test drove was a C4S with Sport PASM and PDCC, it was comfortable enough on main roads but did feel every bump more than my Boxster GTS (on PASM) does. RWS I have ordered like you, I have driven many cars with it fitted, and like it a lot, so good choice.
-20 or -10 PASM is a more difficult choice. I owned a 991.1 C2 GTS, which had the -20 PASM, and I liked it. I've also had a 991.2 C2S with -20 PASM (with RWS), and I liked that too, so I chose the -20.
I would like to drive a -10 PASM car just to see what its like, I'm guessing the difference will be a fraction more body roll due to the extra ride height, but the damping and spring rate remains the same.
Thanks for your replies.
I am edging towards the -20 as that is what the C4S I drove had fitted and although it was firm and just a little harsh at town speed it wasn't too uncomfortable overall. However, my BGTS on -10 PASM on 20" wheels is to me the perfect blend of comfort and handling, only when cornering hard at high speed (60+) do I feel it's a bit sloppy and select the sport setting. Porsche describe the -20 as having shorter harder springs and stiffer anti-roll bars. I know I do tend to get used to what I have, so a harder suspension becomes the 'norm' and don't notice the firmness much.
Thinking about it the -10 PASM combined with the anti-roll control of PDCC may suit each other well with increased suppleness yet good body control? I'm not convinced the extra cost is justified though.
Has anyone got a 991.2 S with the standard PASM - how do you find it?

I agree with you that with -10mm PASM you could make a stronger case for PDCC to help counteract the higher CoG. Another sure albeit expensive way of improving ride quality is to spec PCCBs which i love on my GT4 however the improvement in unsprung mass would be less noticeable due to the lighter aluminium brake hub and smaller 350mm/330mm steel discs on the 991.2GTS.I am edging towards the -20 as that is what the C4S I drove had fitted and although it was firm and just a little harsh at town speed it wasn't too uncomfortable overall. I'm speccing the standard -20mm on mine because i prefer the look and a big fan of have the lowest possible CoG on a sportscar...

Taffy, my thinking was just like yours - lets hope we've got it right..!I'm speccing the standard -20mm on mine because i prefer the look and a big fan of have the lowest possible CoG on a sportscar...
I think that the PDCC is a gimmick too far, and on the car I drove, I just didn't like it.
