Well done. Great buy for someone in a v.challenging market. Good cars usually always sell.

I'm impressed with the auction site too! I didn't think you'd get fair money for her this way so happy to be proved wrong. V.nice that it worked out for u smile

It was valued at £83k and did not sell, so it's not worth a penny more whoever it is sold by.

I like to think I am refreshingly honest. :-) on a forum full of abuse and wannabe's. Lol
So no further thoughts for us on the market for these old special builds? You seem to have your fingers on the pulse hehe

The utter lack of self awareness is just outstanding.

Another one I should have kept ... I had two of the damn things at one point ...

The previous owner had an argument with something solid on the Tour of Mull

It was going to be a big turbo 450-500hp hillclimb car ...

Then I bought chassis No 002 instead rolleyes

13 bids or whatever on a new online auction site hardly the market guys. Doesn't help that there are a number of similar yellow 993 RS reps in the classifieds that all purport to be the same RS homage although not one of them has a cup RS spec engine let alone the clubsport interior, suspension etc!

And not one has sold and both have been for sale about 2 years as they are more like £100k !

any way the RS rep has sold, as I expected it would on my thread, the gap was too close for it not to sell.

The digs Just show you what forums are really about ! and it's the same people doing the personal stuff.

Shame really. but better out in the open so every one can see who the repeat offenders are.
That's modern forums.

The others would all need circa £30k for a 3.8 engine built to RS/Cup spec. The Border Reiver car even has a sunroof so that’s £14k to sort with a new roof panel inc labour on top of the engine. Then comfort interior on the Japan SCM car so another £10k to sort interior. Headlight washers on all of them. None have RS brakes and or suspension. The only similarity is they’re yellow with RS body kits and the cars need circa £30-£60k spent on them to be comparable to this car. Not sure what your point is mentioning they have not sold R? They’re completely different offerings if you know your onions. Better for the odd Sunday drive not bombing around a track like this car which is basically a race car with nos plates.

This is like dealing with Saudi Foreign Office. How does the statement above reconcile with this?

Perhaps I'm being a little pedantic and mischievous but thats quite a few pennies more in anyone's book!

David, there's nothing personal or unpleasant in my previous post, and I’m sorry you think there is frown
My perspective has shifted massively over recent months, so much so I’d much rather humour you and your posts (or ignore them altogether) than get involved in keyboard fisticuffs with you smile

Put bluntly, my previous post wasn’t meant to be in any way antagonistic,
You’re entitled to post as you please, it won’t change my perspective, on the contrary, I’ve started to to enjoy your posts, because as others have said, a lot of them ARE comedy gold, and they’re best viewed as such, rather than seen as inflammatory. Keep up the good work, you’re making a lot of PH’ers happy. Me included smile
