stunning, and if PDK is your thing then it seems perfect - though as per my comment above, I'd then source OEM bucket seats and replace them.

Its crazy how the GTS has shot up in price -vs- prices at the start of the year, for example..

That's my car! Like you say it went for a good price and I was amazed I got in a manual at this price and still pinching myself after the inflation they've been through in the last 12 months.

I'd been in market for a gts for quite some time and was budgeting around 50-55k for a pdk with 30k miles. When i saw the black one come up on collecting cars i registered my username as Black997GTS to try and influence other bidders to not get in a bidding war with me (i couldnt afford for it to go higher) and it seemed to work! Funnily enough, the car didn't ever make its reserve price (£64k), but collecting cars wanted the sale to go through and offered the seller the difference between my final bid and what the reserve was set for! Happy Days.

S888 GTS number plate seems fitting now - 888 being regarded as lucky and I feel super lucky to own this pristine machine!

Well done you! Looks like a great buy and these are great cars. Took mine to the Porsche festival on Sunday and it’s funny that you see so few 997 GTS compared to more “exclusive” 997s

Thank you smile! I am really pleased with it. The one thing I would say to prospect GTS buyers is about a fault on the bumper plastics for GTS’s - particularly effecting black cars. You’ll notice when you look at many black gts’s front on there are depressions in the bumper around the headlight that become more like dents over time - it’s usually exaggerated on one side vs the other - typically passenger side for right hand drive cars. It’s super annoying and an expensive fix that will ultimately fail again in time due to heat.

Congrats -My Black 997 GTS has that same fault passenger side. What have you been quoted to fix it?

Thanks Nige - great taste, too smile! I just looked at all GTS for sale and everyone in black/macadamia has the same issue - i think it shows up more on darker colours, but probably impacts the others too, just not as visible on lighter shades.

To fix it - you could get a new bumper @ ~£3.5k, painted another ~£500, but this will fail again over time and you'll be back at square one eventually. The other option would be to take it to a decent body shop and have the old bumper repaired which could be a combination of heat guns and filler.- not ideal. Whilst its annoying i think i'm going to keep mine as is.

Congrats on the car (mines black too)

Any pics showing the fault as I’m not sure what you mean? I can’t decide if I’m better off not knowing (ignorance is bliss) or when it’s pointed out will it drive me mad every time I see it!

Isn’t the GTS bumper the same as another model, GT3 is it? If this is the case Don’t they all suffer this?

happened on mine 3 years back. never fixed it. back then i asked OPC Mid sussex for quote i think they said either 500 or 1500 to fix. haven't driven it much during lockdown but have for last 2 weeks and thought about sorting it out. I can see why values are strong.

Mine has it, but because it's Guards red it is possibly less noticeable. I am a picky bugger and yet the depressions don't bother me at all. I consider it a characteristic.

I don't see what is wrong. Can you highlight or do a close up?

OK so the black non-shiney area?

See what you mean from that pic…not really noticed it before…can’t just be a GTS ‘thing’ surely?

Mine seems ok 😁

Only one 997 GTS on the Porsche Used Car locator now and it’s a PDK Cabriolet. 47,000 miles for £61,000?

I don't use mine anything like as much as I used to. But I couldn't sell it at the moment; it's too nice a car and when I do use it I still enjoy it.

Evening chaps - views on this car please?

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/911-Carrera-GT...

Have been keeping a close eye on these for the past few months was close to buying the Perth aerokit but decided against it and for a bizarre reason it stuck around for 4-5 weeks.
Just missing a leather dash on this - avoid or is it really a must?
Thanks
