Some people on here need to go and buy a Ferrari instead of a Porsche if they think 7k is high for a 17 month old car.
Please people, just drive these cars because they are mega ??
Agree they are mega. I have one and consider it one of the best Porsche GT cars for some considerable time. Please people, just drive these cars because they are mega ??
And it's not about 'some people' viewing 7k miles being high. That is the view of the market.
It's that simple.

Yes I agree with you but if people bought and drove them that would be the market 👍And it's not about 'some people' viewing 7k miles being high. That is the view of the market.

Can any of the owners contributing to this thread who have sold or bought cards recently give us the first-hand information then rather than people standing here say about .
JUNO , I congratulate you for leaving your life and driving the car you want to drive and not being worried about losing a bit of money 10 or 20 here or there (possibly)and as you said with the recent losses of friends, I guess it may be easier to reconcile yourself to doing that ?
Can you tell us how much you sold your car for ( the SOLD GONE GONE GONE) car for and how much you paid for your current one ?
Did they take the car in part exchange , on your new one or did they broker it for you ?
As you seem a well known and respected member of this community (!) You can help put some real meaning to the prices in this quite lengthy thread !
Thanks

Manuals are getting cheaper. I looked earlier and there was a Guards red 499 mile car with PCCBs for £150k at an OPC. List inc OTR costs must of been about £132k. Agree with you though - good time to buy.
Edinburgh OPC. It is £152500.List £125k.
£27500 premium.
Black Friday deal - circa £15000 premium?
If I was in the market I think I would pay £15k premium for a 499 mile car.

If the market goes the same way for the .2 that's buy at 147k and it depreciates to about 105k over 4 years. That sounds like a crap buy to me but that's the GT car overs market for you.
There’s a good video explaining this on youtube and that’s the loss you will have before you really drive the thing. Drive it and it will be even more painful due these cars becoming mileage sensitive, such a shame a lot of these cars are rarely used. I know I’m going to regret this as I really avoid commenting on these value threads as they are painfully tedious - but here goes......
I agree with Phooey, at £k 15 overs a “new” GT3 feels like “good value” to me, especially compared to other Porsche’s and particularly other high end sports cars.
If it was to depreciate at £k10 a year over 4 years then that’s about £800 a month - you’ll loose that on lots of “lesser” new cars and you’ll loose loads more on other high end equivalents, like Macca and Lamborghini.
So £800 monthly depreciation in a car isn’t insignificant but it’s actually much better value than say a Turbo, & probably no more than say a GTS , etc .
It’s also loads less than the reverse overs , multiple buying hits that people were taking to get “on the list” - thank god that circus is over.
Put it like this, if GT3’s were £k15 more at list, I really don’t think people say they were overpriced (especially compared to other pork.)
Re mileage - yes this doesn’t work if you do loads & loads of miles in it, but nor does that mean that you can’t use it either.
I’ll shut up now as values are so tedious !!!

Man maths has always been my strong suit - that’s how I manage to always end up in such a mess
Spoken by a man who has one too, refreshing to hear an unbiased viewpoint rather than the utter eye swivelling tosh, spouted by the one or two owner/navel gazers trying to talk market up.£150 is where the RRP should have been from outset, for a car with spec/cost £135 originally. Great car for that.
Looking at mobile.de the UK market is at a similar level to Germany now in terms of pricing (maybe GT3s a little cheaper in the UK). So had Porsche not underpriced UK cars, it seems like that is probably a fair level for them regardless of what original list was. At least it seems like there are no longer the crazy RHD premiums that some past cars attract/attracted

Prob not over a Performante. Or a 488. Once you go away from manual £200k buys you better value cars imo.
How do you like the Ti bypass at wot ? Is it on yet ?
Still awaiting delivery which is due any day..I also ordered the Titanium tips and am considering adding the Valved side muffler deletes..The total weight saving with all three parts is over 30Kg..I'm lucky as i live on a farm so no close neighbours to upset when i fire up..It'll still be quieter than a Lambo Performante IMO.How do you like the Ti bypass at wot ? you will have big smiles, not sure you need side bits, it's a big difference. Don't forget to do the 991.2 GT3 RS filters while you have the rear off :-)total weight 3.6lbs lol it's amazing
if you are doing it your self give me a bell.

I'll have the bumper off so it seems a wasted opportunity not to fit a BMC air filter..Not 100% sure if there is a genuine benefit on the filter or is it a placebo effect..Some say that the K&N is just as good as the BMC only cheaper although not OEM on the RS.total weight 3.6lbs lol it's amazing
