Remember how shocked people were when the McLaren Senna was launched and then especially the AMG GT Black, after it stole N’ring lap record from GT2 RS.
I said at the time… that was watershed and that Porsche would go no holds barred from that point onwards lol.
The shock re the Senna was more due to how awful it looked tbh.....I said at the time… that was watershed and that Porsche would go no holds barred from that point onwards lol.

That’s what I’m referring to… looks like a hatchet/axe murderer job to coin a ‘Clarkson-ism’
The Senna would certainly not win any beauty contests but the real issue in comparison to the GT2RS is why the RS was so slow.Edited by TDT on Wednesday 24th January 19:10
It had almost 200bhp more than the 991.2 GT3RS and was little quicker on track.
Never seen any real track or drag races where it performed bizarrely
Wonder if the 992 will narrow the gap

They are brutes mate, watched that tt is it car wow or something drag race with a turbo s gt3 etc ,the turbo left the gt2 behind in a straight line, but on a track the turbo would disappear up its own backside after 5 laps with cooked tyres and brakes at 1600 plus kg.
Manthey have an additional water cooling tank for the 991.2 GT2 RS MR though, don't they? Otherwise the car runs out of coolant (and thereby also peak boost) faster than it drinks fuel around the 'Ring.Digga said:

That's what makes a lot of track cars feel really special. They're often a bit rubbish on road and need rebuilding every so often of course but possibly worth the effort if you like that sort of thing and mainly drive to and from tracks in it.

I have one that’s road legal, its special for sure, they are well over engineered and reliable, none of this pdk nonsense.Mate also has one with a quaffe sequential on the road i helped develop,a real occasion to drive. One or-both will be at the rs day oulton park.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
