I wonder why Taffy is so sure it's not when it seems pretty slam-dunk to me?
No matter who 911R's new doppelganger is, I suspect "David W$ankblaster" knows Slippy is sans Pork at the moment, which is why he keeps returning to that point. Though I'm really not sure what that has to do with my pointing out to Julian earlier in this thread that a few scuff marks on door entry kickplate or indeed some light scratches to a door panel, does not mean the owner has abused the car, nor indeed that the car is a wrong 'un. But it is typical of the straw man argument that 911 R all too frequently resorted to on here ....

I can believe that , there’s now 11 cars on there and the lowest is 240k at opc which I can see taking offers circa 200k. I bet these will be sub 200k before Christmas, winters coming and they always take a hit in winter, this one will be even bigger due to furlough ending too.
I dont believe this 160-180k selling range. I know to 3 cars that have sold this month, all for genuine reasons at 225, 230, and one back at list for confirmed RS Slot. If you just think about it a low Miles big spec 991.2 GT3 PDK CS is what low 150ks? that makes the 992GT3 which is what 4 years newer and complete different car car only 10-20k more. Lol.......Slippydiff said:
Because David assured him it wasn't him ?

If that is indeed your car very sorry to read the above. But knowing Julian as i do, on my reading his comments were more in line with the above pics and not how the car was previously used.

Thanks Slippy, and I didn't know you're Porsche-less at the moment. In which case what you're saying makes a lot of sense. No matter who 911R's new doppelganger is, I suspect "David W$ankblaster" knows Slippy is sans Pork at the moment, which is why he keeps returning to that point. Come on you are just talking your own book up!I know you think the double trombones are the automotive equivalent to the second coming of the Messiah.

Why would i need to do that, my GT cars get tracked used and given back at list or less, when the next one comes out at some point next year. It rubbish to imply that 992GT3s are selling at 10k etc above 4 years old 991,2 ones. .

The £160k to £180K figure was given to me by an OPC Sales executive and not something i made up Apolo. Maybe he meant trade prices but I didn't care enough to ask as I have as much interest in owning one as I have in sawing my right arm off !. It hasn't been universally well received with a few more reliable journos like CH, HC etc criticizing its rough road manners.
Whatever, I wouldn't spend anywhere near for one as I paid for my 812SF even if i could get on with its challenging looks. Its worth no more than the £160-180K IMO but the world's gone mad so anything's possible i guess.!

This may be a terribly naïve question, but...has anyone been fortunate enough to confirm a configuration/order and place £10k deposit (ie, a confirmed vehicle from a UK OPC's allocation from PCGB) for a 992 Touring? I'm being told that PCGB will not give dealers' any allocation info on Touring until into 2022.

I am not saying i dont think you were told those sale prices, but they are are way off actual sale prices that i know to for this month. I have spoke to a few that have driven that early car that have now driven even own their own the full production car, they do drive different. There are two new 992GT3 owners on here worth listening to and they are Monch and Macca. They don't portray the new GT3 as the long awaited Messiah but give a true warts and all honest review of their cars. They are Pistonheads' version of CH and HC and some fanboys are more like Shmee and MrJWW.

FWIW I don't include you in my Shmee analogy as you track your cars a lot. Full respect to everyone on here with a 992GT3 who take them on track as that is where they shine brightest not poodling around on our potholed roads stuck behind an SUV full of screaming kids..ETA I have no idea who DavidLankaster is, it was just my rather feeble attempt at restoring some form of order to avoid further chaos.
