I’d disagree with that, it’s still in factory warranty and half the miles of the red car at a dealer at £103k and black one at £109k.

On the basis it’s immaculate then anything below 95k would makes it the cheapest GTS in the UK, anything above 102k would be illogical.
It is 2 years old next month, so will need a warranty adding.

That green one was March this year also with 6k miles on it for £103k.

Is £8k enough of a saving?

I personally would want more off. But you're probably right.

I reckon it will end mid 80s, making it a £91k car.

Just seems strange they are not selling it direct. Why?

The Red GTS at 103K is manual, so that knocks a lot off the price.
Still?

I would personally prefer a manual, certainly wouldn't pay more for PDK. PDK Wouldn't stop me buying one, buy I would pay more for a manual.

What are the manual vs pdk sales figures for the Carrera T? Anyone know?

Have to agree, think this will be the first sub £100k car. Not the best spec and has the dreaded plastic dash!

WBAC just bid me £28k for my 2011 997GTS coupe man with 30k miles!!

That must make a nice 997 ll 2s a £15k car, and a 991 II GT3 about 45k. I'd better get looking.............

Very little, but it certainly limits the market interested as in the main PDK is the preferred choice.

I am in the market for a 991.2 GTS, just waiting for the right colour and spec. A good one is in the low to mid eighties, with low mileage.

So a 992 GTS is now less than 20k more. What are peoples views on 992 GTS vs 991.2? I know 992 is more capable with wider front track etc, but is it more fun also? I have driven both but not properly back to back. I would be interested in the views of people who have owned both.

Or should this be a separate thread.

Would be interested to hear the comparison between the two also, the price gap between them is certainly narrowing.

I owed a 991.2 4GTS coupe and now own a 992.1 Targa GTS and the latter has moved the game on significantly in pretty much every area.

Speed, night and day. The 992 pulls like a steam train compared to the 991. There is an argument that it’s too quick for everyday, it that’s possible, as rarely are you able to use full power.

Handling. In good conditions both are fantastic, but in wet conditions the 992 is so much more sure footed.

Exterior. Suppose this is subjective and personally the 991 may just edge it on the looks side of things.

Interior. 991 has a great interior but the tech is so out of date, and the 992 has resolved that. The downside of the 992 is the glass and touchscreens as they are always covered in fingerprints and in need of wiping.

Overall, the 992 is such a move forward over the 991. As mentioned, the issue to me is whether it’s getting too quick to be useful. I had a 997GTS prior to the 991 and loved that, and look back sometimes, maybe with rose tinted glasses, that the 997 was the best of the three by way of how the car made you work more.

That’s really interesting thank you - you have had the 3 GTSs I have been thinking about.

I completely get that the 992 moves things on in terms of capabilities. But also fun?

997 is a great car but maybe a bit old for me as a DD in London now. More of a classic weekend car.

As an everyday car I’d take the 992 over the 991.

As a weekend toy I’d take the 997 over the 991, and am unsure whether I’d take the 997 over the 992 as lots of years have past so it could be just fond memories.
