Haha! It’s yours if you want it! The Heuer that is! Unfortunately I won’t be current to fly by the time I’m back from the ‘Stan!

I am in the market for a GT3 ... always wanted one can now afford one. I've been looking at the dealer stock and the prices just seem a little on the steep side. What do people think about this one coming on CC...

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2004-porsche-9...

Comfort but with buckets so would suit the spec I am looking at. Looks good from the photos, but would seem to have a patchy service record and looks like it was SORN for three years since the last service in 2017. Always a slight gamble buying at auction but if the recent prices on CC are a guide then it would represent a big saving on an equivalent at a dealer.

Owner is on PH, was for sale in the classifieds all summer and didn't sell.

I should think it will bid to about £60k. As slippery says, bid!

That’s lovely.

Are the very bright yellow seat cushions factory fit?

The quality of 996 GT3s varies enormously. Many have been tracked hard over the years, which is fine if they have been well maintained as they are built for the job. But as always, do your homework as they can be expensive cars to put right.

They are fantastic cars through, massively underappreciated still.

Too rich for a non-clubsport being sold on an online auction IMO. Plus wrong time of year to sell. I will guess £53k + fees. Great car for the money though if it checks out.

Any reason for the lack of love for the JZM Midnight Blue 996 that has been up for £59k for what feels like ages?

Wondered this too - think it’s looks really nice although not on the lookout myself

JZM had a midnight blue car for sale previously (around 2018) which hung around for ages then too. Possibly the same car pre wheel colour change?

There's no secret to it having had a rear quarter, I had it inspected which picked it up and JZM confirmed. It has emphatically not been smashed up. One replacement panel.

IMHO a good car, good spec, good parts put on it (2 piece brakes), required taste colour, black wheels dour which could be changed, realistic asking price.

Selling price open to question seeing as it's still for sale.

Evening C, I hope you’re well?
No suggestion here it has had serious trauma, and I would never state a car had definitively had replacement panel/s unless I’d seen it for myself, hence the disclaimer “allegedly”.

Agree the black wheels do it no favours (unless you like that kind of thing) and whilst Midnight looks stunning in bright sunlight when clean and marr free, but in dull light conditions it’s more doom blue.
It’s not a strong colour for a GT3, and the wheels just add to the impression of “dullness”.
The leather on the seats could do with some tensioning (nothing an afternoon’s work wouldn’t sort) or let a decent auto trimmer loose on them)
Bolt a set of gold E88’s or LM’s on it and everyone in the paddock would be drooling over it hehe

I’m not convinced a Mk 2 GT3 (non-RS) at £70K is particularly good value now, and the market looks to think the same.

No doubt the Midnight car at JZM is a decent example, but I’m doubtful it sell at £60K anytime soo, I’d much rather the 49K mile Guards red Mk 2 at £55K and de-chav it a bit.

Knowing how much the owner paid for the car, I think the reserve would be a bit higher than that.

Different car. That one is now owned by another PHer now. Beautiful car, I saw it at JZM Open Day when it was for sale.
