I heard yesterday that i was not able to secure a build slot in the first batch of cars arriving this year.
Still hopeful though as was informed that i may be allocated a car in the 2nd batch coming through in 2018.
Maybe they have already allocated both batches coming though... who knows! What option do i have but to leave my deposit with them and play the game
If i do get an allocation this will be my first GT car.

My dealer has always been fairly open that I wouldn't make the first cut but given my position for the second car he felt confident that I would be guaranteed to be getting a car.
Same happened for the 991.1 GT3 which in the end enabled me to get PTS so I wasn't that upset about it.
In this case it just means deciding if to keep the Speciale until the GT3 or selling and getting something more sensible like a GTS as the Speciale doesn't get enough "special" use as she deserves (still managed to put 3k miles in one year on it though which is far more than what other owners are achieving by the look of things).

I am in a similar boat....told I am getting a 2018 car and at a bit of a loose end for now. The OPC knows/has a v.v. good indication how many cars they're getting but until that is in stone and confirmed build slots etc there's nothing more to do. I don't think that's unique to GT3's though I remember the OPC sales bloke telling me towards the end of last year (I think November) that they had just got their build slots for Jan 2018 which had surprised them (in a bad way)...they know roughly how many cars they will get during a calendar year but when they get them seems a bit random.
Still reading about the st show that some some dealers are like in the States not sure they're better off! Seems like there is better availability of cars but a lot of dealers want a "premium to MSRP" with $20k pretty common but some wanting $60k over!
