Any news on further allOcations?
2018 production slots will probably be allocated to OPC's in Sep or maybe latest October. I like a few other people on here have been told they're in line for a 2018 production car and are nervously awaiting confirmation from our OPC's.
That's a long way of saying the 2018 allocations in the UK are almost definitely already spoken for. That said on the GT2 RS thread there's mention of a couple of people giving up GT3 slots to get a GT2 RS allocation and I am sure the same might happen when/if the 991.2 GT3 RS gets confirmed.
I can't see there being a third set of allocations for OPC's....there's GT2 RS, GT3 RS and GT4 all in the pipeline plus probably some kind of 991 end of line special (maybe a Speedster). Can't see when there's time for more GT3's to be built with that lot!

yes me too, unfortunately I am discovering that it seems everyone who didn't get in the first allocation has been promised one in the next allocation and my maths (how many been promised and how many cars dealers likely to get )convinces me this wont happen.I like a few other people on here have been told they're in line for a 2018 production car and are nervously awaiting confirmation from our OPC's.

It's not quite that bad...there are plenty of people that have been told they don't have any chance of a car. I think OPC's know how many cars they are getting but until they get build slots aren't using more definitive language...if they tell people they're definitely getting a car and then for some reason GT3 production gets cut short they're in a potentially awkward and expensive position with cars likely to be at a price premium. So my opc reckoned they got the same allocation as with gen 1 and therefore gen 2 second allocation would be the same (in their case 2 extra cars) but I know 3 people including me that they told will get if they get another allocation. So they think they will get 2 but have promised at least 3 people a car.2010spy said:
Have you got a signed Order Form for the second allocation? What's your OPCs approach?
no one can have a signed order form, as no one can order a 2nd batch car yet. It's a simple order process if OPC stick to the rule books, they will get the 2nd allocation numbers, phone up the people they want to have them and then those people order the car and pay the £10k deposit.
simples.
Some OPC will get 2 cars some 7 so they cannot promise cars until they have there allocation numbers which I assume they will get in Sept as always extra cars will filter though also, the amount of 991 GT3, GT4 and RS which kept coming was quite a few in the end.
One might be 12th on a list and still get one.

Beg to differ, yes they do! As they also know GT2RS and 911 Turbo S Exclusive allocations.
Hi Rob - do you know how many Turbo S Exclusives will be UK bound ? I quite like it - prober blingy thing If they do know about the 2nd run allocations then it all appears to be unnessercarily clock and dagger for no reason ?
GT2 RS and Turbo S Ex . Yes they know these, and they are all allocated and deposits paid by the relevant people . This is being openly discussed .
2nd run GT3 ? Has anyone been asked for a deposit in last few weeks ? I've haven't heard of any . If they have the allocation there is no reason why they wouldn't immediately take deposits from the relevant people ? ( or have all 2nd run been asked to sign a disclaimer saying they won't discuss on PH :-) )
Run 1 Allocations we're dished out within 2/3 days of being issued at my OPC .
I know it's not cloak and dagger, once they get the allocations people will be told to pay and order. No reason to play games, I have had the phone call saying I can have one if they get the same allocation as batch 1. Not sure why people think other wise. They find it just as frustrating. No one wants to phone up clients and say you cannot have one, so why risk looking stupid without the true allocation.

They will have a rough idea but no confirmation until it happens. That's why they can't take deposits and guarantee people a car. If they knew for sure they would have dished them out.
Same as 991.1 roughly I would imagine as a guide.
Exactly . No reason at all for a conspiracy theory .. they just don't have slots in there systems yet . If they did they would be allocated ASAP . Same as 991.1 roughly I would imagine as a guide.
New delivery date dropped into system for my car of 22nd Sept . Anyone got a earlier Manual date yet ?
