Not very appreciated right now. You think it could have chosen a better month to eat its fuel pump than the one where it also needs taxing & insuring! frown

Still looking forward to getting it back from the menders, mind!

why you selling, if you don't mind me asking - getting into another Porsche or something else?

Bought an Italian last year and cannot justify both at the moment.

Disagree! There's something about that colour that really works for me! So much better than black, silver or grey!

I liked it too, in a world of black and silvers was nice to see something different.

Just got my car (997.1) back from a lot of work being done. Engine out, RMS, coolant pipes (front to rear), new steering rack, front shock absorbers, new (Topgear) back boxes, LTT, rear coffin arms. For some reason a warning light keeps coming on saying coolant temp. Gauge is failing. Coolant levels seem ok. Any ideas? frown

It turns out it is an airlock in the cooling system. An ex Porsche technician has told me it needs to be drained & re-filled using a vacuum device! Booked in on Friday smile

Had the above work carried out (£150). Following day took car out… 6 miles down the road the same warning light came on again. Getting a bit pi55ed off now. Looks like it might have to go to OPC FFS! banghead

Is it still losing coolant ?
Possibly a faulty coolant level sensor ?

Also check out “Faulty Change Over Valve (COV) Solenoids” section here :

Have you tried replacing the coolant header tank filler cap ?
No. Not losing any coolant. After driving for 10 miles, you can put your finger in the coolant filler tank & it is still cold. So for some reason the coolant is not circulating. frown
