IME rough road manners have a lot to do with spec on different cars. I find the RS with Weissach pack, PCCBs and Magenesium wheels rides and breathes with rough road surfaces far better than it ought to. The difference will be less marked on the 992GT3 as there is only one set of wheels to tweak things.

This was actually the first one I watched, told Dan the same.
Proper review.
Yep. I think he is v good and I wish he wouldn’t let frankel dominate every podcast or I wish frankel wouldn’t feel the need to do same. Proper review.
I totally understand the partnership:
Youth and relatability + experience and credentials.
But there are sometimes occasions where there is an incongruous clash, and there always will be.… it’s generation thing.

I agree. I was surprised that the 991.2 3RS WP felt more planted on tough surfaces than the gen 1 or first batch gen 2RSVP911 said:

Interesting that Porsche official figures confirm the 992 GT3 manual is in fact 0.3 sec slower to 99mph and 0.5 sec slower to 124 mph than the 991.2 GT3.
you will be pleased to know that on the car wow video today he mentioned the times they have been getting the last couple of weeks have been better because it is a different track .Digga said:

you will be pleased to know that on the car wow video today he mentioned the times they have been getting the last couple of weeks have been better because it is a different track .These are identical for 991.2 and 992 to 62 both PDK and manual at 3.4 and 3.9 respectively.
To 99 Porsche state the PDK 991.2 is 7.3 and the 992 7.0 and to 124 the figures are 11.0 and 10.8.
To 124 mph Porsche state the manual 991.2 is 7.6 and the 992 7.9 and to 124 the figures are 11.4 and 11.9 respectively.
So on the above metric using official Porsche figs the 992 PDK is faster than the 991.2 PDK to 99mph and 124mph but the 992 manual is slower than the 991.2 manual to these speeds.

Err, mules are always black. TDT posted the mules we've seen of the GT3RS, not the regular GT3. Hence the mahoooosive rear Cup car-style wing.
The RS is going to look ridiculous on the road.
I agree. The trouble with this unquenchable futile quest for ever faster 'Ring times results in increasing downforce. This decides how big the rear wing needs to be. This goes hand in hand with ever increasing tyre and wheel sizes to cope with the extra downforce and faster Ring corner speeds. The RS is going to look ridiculous on the road.
This creates a monstrous creation which stands out like a sore thumb on public roads.

Indeed. Which is why the Touring options are so attractive. I said this when the 991.2 Touring came out and I was massively in the minority. I think as time has passed more people can see where I was coming from. This creates a monstrous creation which stands out like a sore thumb on public roads.
