I don't make the prices up thats the reality of the market prices of today if your looking to buy. Any one can see this for themselves so theres no need for the insult. RMS is not uncommon and will show it's face on most models at some stage in there life and as l said can be monitored.
Never said you make the prices up and I certainly didn't insult you! And I pointed out RMS is not an issue to worry about unlike IMS and bore score!

All 991 GT3 cars have had the engine warranty automatically extended for ten years. I know this because when a friend took his 2014 GT3 in for a service at an OPC the computer highlighted this.
Note, this engine warranty only covers the engine and is not in any way related to the Extended Porsche Car Warranty that covers the whole car.
Thanks MD. Just found this over on Renns...

Dear Mr. Carr

We are writing with pleasure to inform you of an enhancement to your New Vehicle Limited Warranty on your 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 model having Vehicle Identification Number (XXX). In addition to the bumper-to-bumper coverage, which you have for four years from your vehicle's original in-service date, or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, we are extending the coverage on your vehicle's engine.

Effective at once, the limited warranty on all your vehicle's internal engine components continues for ten years from your vehicle's original in-service date, up to 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

All other terms and conditions of your New Vehicle Limited Warranty remain unchanged and still apply as they appear in the Porsche Warranty Booklet that came with your GT3 model. You do not need to do anything in order to place this extension into effect; we already have applied it to your vehicle. This extended engine coverage, like all other terms and conditions of the Porsche New Vehicle Limited Warranty, are transferable to subsequent owners. Please keep this letter in your Porsche Warranty Booklet and ensure that it remains with your Porsche GT3 should you sell it.

You selected a flagship Porsche model and we are committed to offering you a delightful and worry-free ownership experience. All of us at Porsche appreciate your business and your loyalty.

Sincerely yours,

Glenn Garde

Looks like correspondence with a US customer to me....(hence <rennlist).

Has anyone seen/had confirmation that the engine warranty applies here in the UK?

Just posted on the other thread that mine has just had the 111 check to activate the Chris Craft 4th yr gesture. They definitely had no idea regarding this 10yr one. Should find out soon though.

Yup. Bit weird they haven't confirmed to individual customers in the UK yet.

Just posted a brief translation of a German Porsche GT3 customer letter on the parallel thread to this shared by gtsralph. It appears to confirm 'Jerry' engines at least are covered by the 10yr engine warranty. biggrin

I see on here mention of a 4th year warranty ( Throt) but my friend with the November 2014 GT3 has heard nothing like that. Can someone please post a copy of the letter ( not the one about 10 years ), but the extra 4th year one.

Was his car subject to the stop sale, it was part of making amends to customers who had cars delayed because of that I believe. My car has it.

Yep,, ""delayed mine by 6 months"", did the engine fiasco.

So was given a extra 1yr warranty via confirmation of the Chris Craft letter before my delivery of my Gen1. I still have the letter to which I had to show my OPC too to activate it, after the 111 check they carried out...

Could one of you please either PM the letter to me , just the words, or post it here. My pals car was a stop sale and it came to him new with a replaced engine in December 2014.
