They will continue to make 991s and 992s at the same time at least until 2019 second quarter..Mostly the Speedster and RSs..
I would agree with this.......

They have always built old and new models alongside each other so that won’t be problem!

I was told by the sales manager at my OPC 2 weeks ago the next round of GT cars are 2-3 years off and no more of the current 991.2 will be relased

I’m not sure the OPCs always know until an allocation suddenly appears. I think if all had been told definitively it wasn’t happening, it would be well known by now, but there still seems to be a bit of will they, won’t they about it, so I reckon it might still happen. I’m going to predict no WP though!

I think a second batch of RS models will only come if Porsche can avoid re-validating the model with a GPF and lower noise levels. If they can't avoid development of what is essentially a "new" car for a small number of EU deliveries then it does not really make financial sense, especially if they will have less power due to the new restrictions.

My guess is that we won't see any more UK 991.2 GT3s or GT3-RSs.

I honestly don’t think anyone at the OPC’s genuinely know. This time last year they’d have laughed at you if you’d asked if GT3, RS and GT2 RS would all be delivered in parallel in Q1 2018.

Well, my OPC tells me they are getting three WP 991.2 GT3RS's. Beginning of the year.
I think there will be a second build but as a few others, I took the offer when I got it and spec'd the car up very well. Done 2,500 fantastic miles.
Cheers.

This so happened to me. With all the issues with particular filters I could see U.K. allocations going ROW, why would Porsche be bothered to basically redesign for U.K.

I think this could have been part of a ploy to get the car registered as a new model before Sept, with a view to trying to get a filter exemption for the main batch.
Whether they can actually wangle it or not remains to be seen.
