How much does a 993RS clubsport sell for these days?
One here - http://www.germansportscars.net/en/porsche-993-rs-...
no clue if this is as it is supposed to be - not too dear though

https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id...
Hhhmm.. there are enough signs that it is not a real M003 Clubsport and to how it was used in the past.

It appears to be a 993 RS with a Clubsport bodykit fitted.

Which probably makes it a Clubsport as far as most on here are concerned! smile
So assuming it is a converted “real” RS, where does that put the price of a car that is not based on the real thing but very accurate
Let’s say you can buy this at 160k euros , would you then pay 100k or more or less for the copy

It will be interesting to see what it makes

I love the way these cars look and fully expect i’d Enjoy the driving experience - I nowadays prefer my little Clio to the Scuderia on the road (not on track though in fairness)

Better if anything... will be no hardship to keep it as it is truly special. Have had an absolute blast in it but too many cars, not enough time to enjoy them all.

Also probably the best sounding 911 I've ever heard.

No nasty stories, just a truly special car. I've thrown best part of £10k at it in my ownership too just to keep it where it should be.

Any questions, let me know
how comes you're going down the auction route and not sor with gt1 etc... i think jzm had it a while back right with no luck?
i remember speaking to rich way back when i still had a 968cs and keeping tabs on him through his website. he's quite obsessive with details so this 993 will be a great buy for the next lucky owner

A Clubsport with bolted in cage that doesn't protrude through the dash, (which has an airbag) and electric windows ? scratchchin
Can't be too many of those around ...
Let's not go into the full heating and ventilation ducting and blower fan for the same in the engine bay.

And the paint finish on that O/S chassis leg looks rather too glossy for my liking ....

I'd give the vendor 0/10 for effort.

It's a slightly unusual proposition (if you know, you know etc) which I thought would suit the Collecting Cars website. Additionally, you get an SOR type service with CC while retaining possession of the car, so no risk. Bit of a no brainer really as you can set a reserve.

Was the cut off for the club sport cars just an off the shelf switch, or did Porsche motorsport make their own?

you are / the car is in Kent, correct? just dreaming about buying it and Kent is a lot more palatable than say the north of Scotland ...

I think only the buyer pays fees if I understand it correctly (fee is capped at 6k incl VAT). In my case the car would live in Austria or Bavaria .... soo probably not an ideal scenario for shared ownership smile

I very much doubt it’s a Porsche M/Sport part, more likely a generic German isolator switch that Porsche “adopted”.

Edit to add : From German Ebay ... :

car looks very tired, seems odd not to have at least washed it, but it needs a lot of paint work and a full wheel refurb and some trim, I find it odd to not present the car the best it can be, as it makes me and others wonder if simple things were skipped what else has been.

It may be 100% sound but 1st impressions and all that count for a lot and the car looks tired.
Maybe throw another £10k at it :-)

very hard to value these modded cars. As it's worth more standard now days.

Be interesting if it makes reserve or what the seller values it at.

Nice but needs a bit of TLC.

Agreed, needs some TLC, specifically the engine bay needs detailing and the Speedlines need a refurb (though saying that, they were always a nightmare to keep corrosion free) I had mine refurbed and they never went back on the car.

Not disputing they're hard to value, but in this instance I suspect your comments regarding being worth more as as standard car, are somewhat wide of the mark. This isn't some 911 SC/3,2 Carrera 2.7 RS esque backdate with 964 engine, shonky suspension and questionable build quality courtesy of Fred in a shed.

On the flipside, worth 50% of the value of the real thing ? I'm incredibly doubtful. Let's see how it pans out.

Real ones are what £290k this is £80k worth imo and needs some TLC.

yummy. MP had two non CS cars, the better of the 2 sold, both owned by the same guy.

I guess if it still looked this good it might be £100k, but as we have said it now looks much worse for wear every where since Jackal owned it.

Its a pretty car. I think a tough one to auction personally as the cars too niche when you bare in mind comments from most petrolheads on forums like PH that a 997 is a feelsome car which is obviously nonsense when compared to something like this. I wouldn't even market it as an RS rep. I'd get the car to concours and market it as a completely remanufactured 993 prepared for track and occasional road use i.e. getting there and back. Or would be great for competing in the PCGB championship etc.

I do not understand why she's not gone to the usual suspects who would be happy to market a car like this? Hope she sells and GLWS BB. I wouldn't be surprised if the old owner buys her back!

Car is in Kent, yes

Agree the wheels could do with a refurb.

Anyone seriously interested is very welcome to come and see it, understand what has been done in my ownership (fully documented), drive it and make their own judgement.

Probably a discount price given it was not in Germany for all of its life - still too expensive for me though. Lovely looking car for somebody
