Im very interested in this. I’m hopefully picking up a 992 GTS cabriolet this week and was going to look into an exhaust mod. I’ve never owned a Porsche before but when I test drove it I noticed it had that exhaust button on the dash. If I fit this mod, would it not just be the same as pressing the exhaust button (but without the need to press the button each journey)?

£34 sounds like a bargain for the improvement in sound. If I had a 992 I'd buy one. (I'll overlook the fact that this whole thread seems like you're setting this up as some kind of marketing exercise. )
Haha - you're right - it does look hugely like that!! Promise it isn't - will keep quiet now just incase it makes it worse! Was a genuine attempt at sharing what I was doing - kinda hoped that someone else had done this, actually, and could save me buying the stuff and doing all the electricals. Also, could you create something for older cars to say disable the spoiler warning function for people who replaced their spoilers with fixed systems? I want to disable mine without giving a warning light every time the car tries to raise the spoiler. The system that is currently for sale went from £100 to £300 overnight.

Folks, mindful of Hoofy's observation I don't really want to chat too much here about something I'm selling- even if I'm just covering costs right now. Drop me an email at enquiries@992noise.com and i'll respond.
Well done for giving it a go and getting something out to the market and best of luck!Blu3R said:

Hi, is this instead of the sports exhaust button? Does it basically do the same thing or is this an improvement in noise above of what the sports exhaust button produces?
Did you get an answer to this?Hoofy said:

Did you get an answer to this?I'm guessing the kit does as you say - holds the flaps open fully at all times, but would be nice to have that confirmed.

From my limited understanding (which could be completely wrong of course) the electronic valves vary flap position depending on conditions like revs, throttle position and mode. The PSE will let you start with them open if the button is pressed before you start the car (but how 'open' is open...?).

Yep - totally correct. Standard PSE operation is to open & close the flaps when you're driving around, even when the sports exhaust button is pressed. That extra noise you hear at idle when you push the button is the flap opening only a small amount. There are some videos online which show the movement of the flap at different speeds/loads. For me, that just felt like I was being cheated a bit!I'm guessing the kit does as you say - holds the flaps open fully at all times, but would be nice to have that confirmed.
