The private sale Meteor grey one at £90k looks best one and perhaps best value, yes i am not considering the left hand drive track car.

Don’t know it but it looks nice enough.

Didn’t SCD sell a red 997.1 GT3 only last year?
Yes - they sold that and bought a 718 GT4. Seems they didn't gel with it (saw the error of their ways!) and have sold that and replaced with this one. Their red one was very low mileage I think, so maybe they're happier sticking miles on a slightly leggier one.RC1 said:

I went to see this.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202202142...
Entire cars been painted apart from one quarter and the roof. Looked perfect inside. It was nice but is the most expensive GT3 I've been to see so far and I didn't see the extra 20/30k over the asking price of others I have seen in the last 6 months. It also sold at JZM for a little over 18 months ago for 80k.
Someone will buy it though.

Darren, I see the time has finally come. Sad day, but I hope the future abroad is fantastic.

Given how well darren and his car are known i have no idea why this is being sold this way
darren help us out here - what are we missing?
I was in contact with Darren and and was keen to buy his car privately. He has left me waiting for months for his circumstances to align and as soon as they have the car has gone to SOR with a dealer I have never heard of. Never mind! The search continues. Only thing I can think is he doesn't want the hassle of selling privately which is fair enough. Can't imagine he will be getting much more if anything out of the deal once the dealer takes there cut than the price we discussed.darren help us out here - what are we missing?

You might not have heard of Supercar Sourcing but they are a good outfit. Joe the owner is straight down the line and a pleasure to deal with. Not often you get to say that when buying and selling cars. Joe has sourced buyers for 2 cars for me. The 2nd was a 570s Spider I had advertised privately with very few bites. Jo had a buyer lined up and even after a very reasonable fee deduction it was 15k more than any dealer was offering.
The attraction for the buyer is he can arrange finance and the comfort of the transaction via a broker.
If you're still interested in the white GT3 I wouldn't be put off at all where its advertised.

Thanks for your advice. I'd still be interested but its not the perfect car for me being a comfort and at 85k I would rather wait for one with at least the carbon seats/lower miles etc for whatever extra cost. I also don't need finance so was in an ideal situation for Darren to sell it privately. The attraction for the buyer is he can arrange finance and the comfort of the transaction via a broker.

Even at that dealer I'd still have to have the vehicle inspected as he isn't a specialist which again adds further cost.

During a clearout I found this price list ££ on used stock at Porsche Leeds from 2009 including a GT3 and RS at bargain prices for low miles too.
RS is ludicrously low. I wish…I remember seeing an orange one in an airport “win this car” display in 2010 and spending a good while ogling it.
