Anyone for ‘T’
Discussion
So just a quick update on my previous question about new cars being available (and I truly have no agenda...a colleague new to Porsche is buying a T) there do seem to be a few un registered cars out there within some of the big dealer groups like Sytner and Jardine. Jardine has the best selection but only two manuals (as opposed to more idk cars) ,both manuals are white. My pal has deposited on the highest spec of the two, big spec car listing to exactly 100k!
One other thing, and I am out of the loop now, but the salesman intimated to him that a sept registration might be possible?! I'm sure he has that wrong given what we know but if that does by chance play out I'll let you all know. Cheers.

There's a white unregistered PDK car in Kendal which they say can be September reg. I believe it's come from another centre. One other thing, and I am out of the loop now, but the salesman intimated to him that a sept registration might be possible?! Uff, I love following this thread and I love the idea of the T, the thing that spoils it for me though is that they should have released it for the 991.1, then it would have easily been the pick of the range for road use by a country mile, GT3 included. Now, if I had to suffer a turbo engine (I know I know) I'd just get a manual GTS and be done with it.

Mario149 - haven't you got a 997 manual GTS? I do prefer the T to my old 997 GTS but it was pdk and 4 wheel drive. Has anyone done a T vs 991.2 GTS review?
Manual 997 GTS made way for a Manual R8 V10. 4 seats became useless once we had our second daughter at the end of last year which kinda removed one of its main USPs for me. So if I wasn't going to drive the car much, I thought I might as well open my options up. Combined with the fact that I was well aware I had basically bought at just before "peak GTS" prices, I figured having enjoyed it for a few K miles I would bang out recoup pretty much all my money and try something else. Always had a hankering for an R8 V10 which was the perfect storm for me when you add the fact that they're quite undervalued IMO. Also helped that I managed to find one in something other than black, silver or blueSure I'll be back in a 911 in the future, prob when the girls are a bit older and I can take them out in it.
ETA: I had a weekend in a manual Carrera back in Nov, was every bit as fast as my 997 GTS. That base engine is more than enough for loads of fun.

Looks like there will be some press coverage of Litchfield's tuning product for the 991.2

For the T it apparently produces the following...circa 20% more bhp.
Carrera and Carrera T Litchfield Remap 454 bhp (460 PS) 400 lbft (542 Nm)

Many are badly/over specced cars which largely negate the whole ethos of the T of which simplicity and weight saving are the whole point.
Greater than the sum of their parts despite many armchair experts claiming otherwise.
Rarer and more special than the C2S the T will hold its value far better too.
Overall a great package.

Hi here at, I’m not sure about the value thing - yes if speced as you say , less so if the spec was heavy and took the car into the mid 90’s / early 100’s - I think this is why there are quite a few for sale; these cars have been around for ages - not a great sign considering you can’t currently buy a new 911 . But as you say, a nice thing to own either way Greater than the sum of their parts despite many armchair experts claiming otherwise.
