Nice one for sale here. Was looking for a B3 Alpine and noticed it.

Interesting white was not popular in the UK then...... I think they look great on 996 GT3s.

Only one C16 white Mk1 AFAIK, and I’ve never seen a white Mk2 except imports. (there are one or two C16 RHD repainted to white)

they're ok for thrashing about in but a 964 is where you'll find the real enjoyment and excitement

biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin 964's are great but don't come close to a Gt3 unless we are talking RS and even then they are slow by comparison.

I've owned them all and talk from experience........

And when a decent RS is 2x even the best 996.1 CS money, the choice is even more obvious...

Totally agree with the comments above about the dampers.
I had my entire suspension rebuilt with ohlins r&t with spring rates for for road use.

My ride height was too low and was way too much camber at the front and mildly too much rear.

o
Fitted stiffer tyres with the cup 2s. Set a half way damper setting - the ohlins have 31 clicks of adjustment - went 15 front end 13 at the rear so slightly stiffer back end. Camber milder than it was before

The damper settings are easy to adjust so I will play with those

Not had more than a couple of hours to play with it on the road but instantly feels better; the steering feel is delicious and the car is set up to roll a bit more so I can lean on it more - stiffer back end helps turn. trail brake into a corner so much better now.

You don't fight it on a B rosd like I had to before where it would jump around a bit.

It is less crashy almost creamy now - have so much more confidence in leaning on it now - it's night and day compared to the old setup.

Really pleased I'm looking forward to playing with it more.

Looks good, almost a copper colour (at least on my Phone it is).

W124 in the background too, good man.

And a garage full of mountain bike-shaped clutter. A familiar scenario. hehe

The Zanzi-wrap I am looking forward to seeing.

Can't help but relate to all those speaking of the loathing for the 996 GT3.

Mine's a complete b*stard on the public highway. Clutch is a nightmare, it's a real twitchy bugger - no good at all really.

All self inflicted I assume in the chase after track performance?

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it most likely is a duck smile

Yep! Cheers, am more than a little obsessed with the thing. On topic though, I've driven OEM 996 GT3 road cars and thought they're lovely, perhaps those that don't enjoy them aren't the target demographic?
