So is this the first U.K. flipped car or has there been others?
I appreciate the profits are too big to turn down, but surely Porsche need to find out who is making obscene profits and stop them getting another Halo car

Well, he did c 1000km in it - some non-flippers on here do that in a year it seems. Fair enough, maybe he did not like it I appreciate the profits are too big to turn down, but surely Porsche need to find out who is making obscene profits and stop them getting another Halo car

Same owner as the manual 991.2 GT3 they have too perhaps?
Fair play to JZM though, lovely stock and they’re great to deal with.
Good guess....Fair play to JZM though, lovely stock and they’re great to deal with.
They have got two GT3’s at the moment....one PDK and one Manual. Both up for the same price I understand.

Doubt it’s the first flipped UK car.....the first physical one to be openly advertised though that I’ve seen. Same owner as the manual 991.2 GT3 they have too perhaps?

There is now about 4-5 cars for sale up and down the country. It’s a total Pis&take how the hell have they decided who gets these cars? This is the one car I was hoping for and missed out. Why not produce more cars. Porsche say it was not limited but of course it was!!
Every OPC has its several VIPs who automatically get an allocation on all in demand limited GT Porsches..That in itself is not the problem; the problem is that these so called VIPs are allowed to flip any car they choose over and over again..! It really stinks IMO.Taffy66 said:

There have always been "VIPs" who would buy the GT models from when they were introduced with the 993GT2 difference is Porsche knew the market would only demand a small number of cars as there were few people who wanted a depreciating hard core 911. Because Porsche GB only asked for small allocation it meant that most of the first VIP buyers would try the car out and flip it within the year usually at near list or with a bit of depreciation. Even the 997GT2RS suffered depreciation for early sellers. The current situation for Porsche is unprecedented and for certain not sustainable as once you manage to escape the febrile forum atmospheres it is easy to see that the current hype is just self perpetuating with lots of people trying to get free motoring and/or swing a profit, almost a pyramid scheme.
There is no chance that the market for a 991GT2RS is over 500K, maybe an idiot or two but there are not that many wealthy idiots around.
Once you can extricate yourself from this Porsche GT hype it does look pretty ridiculous and obvious what is going on.

You sir have hit the nail on the head, it’s all about people wanting something more because they can’t have it. I too have been guilty of this but once you step back you realise that, it’s probably not even the right car for you anyway! The current situation for Porsche is unprecedented and for certain not sustainable as once you manage to escape the febrile forum atmospheres it is easy to see that the current hype is just self perpetuating with lots of people trying to get free motoring and/or swing a profit, almost a pyramid scheme.

Ok ..... anyone own up to being the “idiot” who bought this?
1I was told someone paid near the 700K for one at JZM also...... If the people paying these prices are in the £20M + net worth bracket then of course they are not idiots they are just flexing their financial muscle to get what they desire and probably give little thought to residuals, they are paying cos they can !
I take back the "idiot" comment
