Loved the 991.1 GTS. I think this has huge potential - a C2 GTS coupe - yes, please.

Aerokit - in principle, yes - not sure about the design of the 992 aerokit though. Horses for courses.

This is my ideal spec - http://www.porsche-code.com/PN3XBH20

(I know, yellow with red but I love it)

Good luck with the Aero kit, they have removed it from the configurator, supply issues.

Mate has one on order and hoping as he got his order in before that it will come with it.

I got my PEC invite last week too, think it coincided with the PEC getting 3 GTS cars in, so they send invites out to all the GTS orders, doesnt mean you are getting an allocation.

I am driving a coupe PDK, they also have a manual.

I also got the call this morning about an allocation for Feb, I was really excited until they said I could have my PTS, which has left me in a bit of a limbo now, do I accept the allocation without PTS, or hold out and hope one comes along. I already have a 991.2 GTS, so its not like im already slumming it.

Cant decide what to do at the moment, my heart was set on signal yellow, the only standard colour I like is shark blue, which I think will be common, and my mate has already chosen that colour too (wave).

Has anyone been told that the price has been increased, by £2.5k also this week? The options haven't, only the base price of the car, remains to be seen whether we get charged the new price for orders already in the system or not.

Congratulations on the allocation. When did you place your order?

Regards to price increase, I checked with my OPC on Monday and he confirmed I wasn‘t impacted by this price increase. Anyone who placed a deposit and ordered before this price increase will not be impacted. Only those who place an order from now will have to pay the newer price.

Hope so, as could do without another 2.5k price increase as would rather put the monies towards Oak Green PTS if the option is available.

hopefully thats the case, I had heard that from someone else too (not confirmed).

I have previously had orders that had price increasing after allocation that I have had to pay before delivery, so im a bit sceptical!

Oh and I placed my order at the beginning of August, for a RWD Cab. Dealers all got their allocations for Feb last week.

Hmmm, so I am currently being told that PTS is going to be an issue, I am unable to get a PTS allocation, and have been informed that the UK might not get any PTS allocations next year...... Still waiting on final confirmation, but dont get your hopes up!

I'm a bit pissed off, placed my order right at the beginning of July and got told by my dealer I haven't got a Feb allocation, might get a March allocation, who knows.... This waiting around and uncertainty is starting to frustrate me.

Not the end of the world, but fingers crossed.

Failing which I'm still torn between Averturine Green or Crayon.

unfortunately it depends on how many people are ahead of you in the queue. I ordered a cab, which is less ;popular, so fewer people, but also fewer allocations. Depends how popular the dealer is too.

Hopefully you'll get one soon, I know how you feel, up until I got mine I was hearing about everyone else getting theirs too.

Mine is a bit frustrating as even though I have the allocation, I cant order the spec I want, thats the point or ordering a new car. Hoping I get some good news.

Hi David,

Apparently I'm 3rd in the queue, started as 7th when I placed my order so it's moving in the right direction but not quick enough!

But yes, thanks for giving some background on how it works. This will be my first Porsche and I'm not used to all this waiting around and uncertainty about allocations when ordering cars. Appreciate your kind words and hopefully you get your PTS allocation that you really want.

Congrats on your first Porsche, you have gone for a cracker!

It will be an amazing purchase, but sadly, the buying process with Porsche is always a rocky one, you sometimes feel like they are doing you a favour allowing you to buy a car, its a case of being patient and building a report with the dealer. I am on my third dealer now, due to my sales contacts always leaving and moving house, so im struggling to do that. If you have gone from 7th to 3rd, as you say its heading in the right direction, I was already second.

What you just need to remember, is that when it does come, you will have one of the best cars money can buy, and every day you drive it or park it and walk away from it, you will have a big smile on your face! It's worth the journey, trust me. (this is my third GTS, I had a 981 Boxster GTS, and currently have a Viper Green 991.2 GTS Cab).

Would a manual Gts rwd with lightweight glass(not full light weight package) be considered special enough as more of a weekend car and not a daily?

I have an Emira on order but am sizing up other options as not 100% convinced with how Lotus after care etc will be as they are not renowned for great service.

The rear seats of the Porsche could be an advantage as I have two young kids so could occasionally use it with the whole family.

Thanks David, I'll try and remain patient then, because as you say it will be worth the wait. Just feel like a kid waiting for Xmas to come along, watching hundreds of 911 YouTube vids that even my wife is getting sick of me ! lol

That's a nice GTS history you have there and high praise indeed for the mark smile

This is the reason I chose a 911 above other sportscars and can see myself getting another one in the future, the rear seats are deal-clinchers when getting justifying it as a daily.

So here’s some input from a British expat living across the pond in the USA. I was lucky enough to get an GTS allocation confirmed late October and my order was accepted and acknowledged by Porsche the first week of November. According to the Porsche build tracker my car is scheduled for completion by February 18th. I’m hoping to collect at the factory, although Covid may prevent me from doing so. Does anyone on this forum have any information on the current status of the factory delivery program?

Like many on the forum I’ve agonized over the configuration. I’ve settled on the following spec PNPAY9A3

I was told there’s some benefit in taking the no cost smokers package, does anyone have an opinion on this?

A free ashtray. The ashtray would take up the cup holder space, which already has design flaws....

...so, with it being hopeless as a cup holder for manual cars, may as well use it as an ashtray if needs must.

Alright guys. I’ve not been on here for years but have been doing my homework on 992 GTS lately. Yesterday I had my order accepted for a 2 GTS this will be my first Porsche. Apparently I’m number 10 on the list so a long way off the allocation but I’m not in a hurry as I’m working abroad for another year. Been told Q4 next year but I’d prefer 2023 March. Not decided yet on spec I think I have around 12 different configurations.

This is the latest. The colour I’m not sure on though

Not sure on 992 but on 991 was told to spec as you get the 12v plug for the lighter

yep but on the 992 I don't think it includes that....the info on the configurator makes no mention of a 12V plug, unlike how it did for the 991.

The lightweight package includes the 918 buckets which also deletes the rear seat. If you want the use of rear seats then you can't spec the lightweight package, or just thr buckets for that matter, as both will see the rears seats removed.

A well specked manual lightweight car with 918s will IMO always be a desirable car .
Ceramics would make it even more special.
